The Villa Paradiso was a hidden delight behind a wall, we did not know what to expect. We were greeted with the biggest smile and the staff were so friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was based on a theme and was just delightful. Had a wonderful relaxing massage and a lovely dinner that was non-expensive. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone, so clean, quiet and the curtains were great, making the room dark, allowing for a great nights sle.
all reviews » The hotel is beautiful and set off a quite street in Phnom Penh. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel grounds and pool are very well kept. The breakfast area overlooks the swimming pool and gardens and is a great way to start the day. Each room is uniquely decorated, spacious and very clean. The staff we were associated with was extremely helpful and friendly. Room decoration was outstanding.Pool facilities excellent. Incredibly spacious. Beautiful garden settings. Well located. Nice shaded pool area, and the whole place has a good sense of style. The staff r caring, helpful and capable. We stayed at the colonial room and Sheikh room. Regarding the former, though we highly appreciated the bathroom that is unique in terms of design, we believe that the latter is not risk free as the steps leading to the shower cum bath tube could be extremely slippery and a fall on the tiles is not to be excluded. I suggest that steps be protected with an anti slippery material like the one often found in bath tube. As to the Sheikh Room, claustrophobic should avoid it (too dark). As is common in PP the dining area is not air conditioned. Absoluteley nothing. Having to leave!!. Food was only OK, but plenty of other restaurants around for dinner. nothing. Check out was somehow turned into a complex, hot & sweaty 40min process. Other small inconveniences include no real running hot water, wifi was down, toilet flush broken, and a slightly overbearing owner/manager. The bathrooms need replacing, hot water upgraded and tv system improved. Nice building, poor Reno. Breakfasts r boring, pass on eggs Benedict.
