The greeting we received when we arrived was very welcoming - this 'set the scene' for our experience of the hotel. We had hired a car for our exploration of the area, so were very glad that there was plenty of parking space. The room was spacious and very clean. It was a very easy walk to Menin Gate and to the town itself! We have been traveling around Europe for a month & stayed in many hotels - the Hotel Ariane was one of the best. with free off-site parking; comfortable room with spotlessly clean en-
suite bathroom; gracious, helpful proprietors; and tasty breakfast.
Especially loved the beautiful back garden: recipient, apparently, of
many awards. We rented their bikes and Johan not only made sure that we
had maps and emergency equipment but also sent us off with assurances
that he would come rescue us should we encounter any problems!
