We stayed at the Townhouse for 3 nights and had a great time. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at so far. The room (Blueberry Suite – The Attic Room) was immaculate, comfortable and very spacious. Sandra and Jason (the owners) made a great effort in helping us find our way around Bruges with lots of tips and reviews for restaurants and sights. Breakfast was amazing, this included fresh fruit salad, yoghurt with fruit compote, a selection of fresh bread/pastries and an omelette/po.
all reviews » At check in, Jason supplied us with map and information for our walking tour of Bruges. Most importantly, he guided us to a great restaurant, Christophe, were we had a local dish. Outstanding. The room was up a lot of stairs but Jason helped us with our bags and we were treated to a great view and very clean and spacious room. Important for us: the bed is very comfortable! Everything seemed to be new. Breakfast was outstanding. Each dish was special starting with marscapone and fruit ending wit. Everything turned out to be beyond expectations with this accommodation. We stayed in attic suite and it was just amazing. Room was big, clean and renovated with style. Room had a nice view over Bruges and bed was extremely confortable. The Townhouse is located in a quiet area but main sights are approximately 10-15 minutes walk away. Sandra and Jason, who own this B&B, are just amazing hosts and they offer good advices for restaurants and places to see in Bruges. They also offer a great br. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Townhouse. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well-appointed. The breakfast in the morning was delicious - absolutely top-notch. The location was quiet yet still near everything. I was a bit worried that we would be too far from the centre for my young children but it was no problem at all. Sandra and Jason recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner nearby and, bonus, there is a park with a playground in the neighbourhood too. I only wish we'd been . This is the standard by which we compare other B&B's. Sandra and Jason are very welcoming hosts. The house is beautifully renovated. We stayed in the Plum Room which was spacious and comfortable. There was even a view of the Church Of Our Lady, which is very pretty at night when lit up. Location is good. Only 10-15 minute walk to Brugge attractions. Breakfast is the best we ever had at a B&B. Not a buffet, cooked to order. Parking nearby. Definitely recommend staying here. Sorry we wer. The friendliness of the staff, Michael in particular, who couldn`t have been more helpful! The recently restored comfort of the suite. From the Queen size bed to the luxury of the bathroom and shower. Breakfast too was amazing. Varied and different with enough to satisfy any appetite. Nothing is too much trouble here. A totally different experience to the more usual hotel. Cannot praise The Townhouse Bruges or the staff enough. Try it. You won`t be disappointed. This B&B is one of the best I have ever stayed at!The family that runs it really cares about the guests and go the extra mile!Although we arrived really late at night Jason was waiting to greet us!The breakfast was really good and customised to our needs!The location was perfect,just a 5-10 min walk from the main square of Brugge!!However,the best part were the room and the bed,which were AMAZING.I haven't slept that well for ages!It really feels like home!. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the owner made it seem that she was welcoming us into her home. She provided us lot of info about the city. The room was wonderful and the attention to detial - like an antique bookcase full of books and children's books available in the children's room - are what really make a difference.. Very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast great! We'll definitely be back!. Since this was an excellent b&b there are many that I'd like to highlight. First, the owners make a big difference compared to other b&bs or hotels. They are incredibly kind and have a great disposition to help us or answer our questions. Second, the location of the b&b is very good, just 7 mins from the city centre. Third, the decoration, the building is full of light and has a nice view of the cathedral. Everything! the room! the bed! the breakfasts! the couple Jason and Sandra! provided a friendly and welcoming service. If like us, you prefer the smaller family run B&B or hotel (tucked away but still close enough to the main attractions) to the big corporate anonymous hotel, then this is the place to stay! We loved it. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming from the start and made us feel instantly at home. They provided helpful tips about what to see in the city. The room was beautiful, comfortable and had all we needed, including a view! Breakfast was more than enough to set us up for the day. We highly recommend this B&B. My husband did not find the bed comfortable but I have no idea why. It was wonderful. He definitely appreciated the many pillows though. Nothing. The only negative aspect were the stairs. As most of the houses in Brugge, this b&b has very narrow stairs and this is might be a problem when you have heavy luggage or mobility problems. Nothing! Even the steepness of the stairs as mentioned in other reviews were a joy, there are a lot of steep stairs in Bruges! Would only change the weather, it pretty much rained the whole time we were there, so weather proofs and comfy shoes to negotiate the cobbles are a must. Also customer service in some restaurants can be slow to non existent, be prepared to request more drinks, desserts etc, they like it if you wave at them apparently, so we perfected the 'Belgium wave!'. We loved it !. Nothing. Nothing really but I should mention that access my be an issue for the elderly or infirm. Noting not to like. That telling others how wonderful this place is will make it more difficult for me to re-book for any return trips. :-). Would be nice to have a bit more facilities for storing things, e.g. wardrobe or chest of drawers. No problems. Possibly the 3 flights of stairs...could be a challenge for some but for others a chance to keep up the fitness level!. Nothing I didn't like. the mosquito in the bedroom!. Nothing. -no elevator, We had the 3d floor, so it was hard to step up several times a day! With baby! Floor in bathroom was cold, mattress was very soft, breakfast from 9 till 10 a.m. Shower too close to toilet. Nothing.
