Hyllit Hotel is a modern and luxurious hotel, situated on the most prestigious shopping avenue De Keyserlei, only 200 metres from Antwerp Central Station in the centre of the Diamond District. Booked a double room, but had two single beds pushed together and made up as single beds. They were on wheels, so moved apart as soon as you moved. The room decor was grey, which is a bit bland.breakfast was a rip off for the price. My reservation was for a non-smoking room and when we got to our room, we had been given a smoking room. When I asked to be switched, it was done immediately and without any problem.long waiting times for the lifts; it once took me almoust ten minutes to get to my floor! too many lifts all together. There is a lift to enter the hotel from the parking, but it was not totally clear that you could only get to the reception desk by pressing 01.the swim poll too cold and sauna not too warm. No Coffee/Tea making facility in room. The restaurant was not easily reachable. It is out of the hotel. We had a non smoking room that did smell of smoke.Too many lifts and long lines waiting for the elevator in the breakfast room. The size of the room could hardly refer to executive. Not a really nice view from the window. It was the rear side with some construction, but it wasn't noisy at all. Bed was not the best quality and neither were the pillows.......too many lifts. The room was decorated in a sad way.. little atmosphere. Entry/Exit via lift to one door then out another, but its not a big deal. airco did not work in room, was given a smoking room where the smell of smoke was present. room was spacious but outdated. Big bathroom with a very cramped bath?!!. beds were horrible with running wheels. the room has the smell of smoke. Parking was full on Saturday, breakfast room is too small and we had to wait for a table. Complex lift setup.we often go to the Hyllit. It still amazes me the size of the rooms. Strange to complain about that but you loose the cosiness with the way some of them are laid out. The lightings in the room : not enough reading lights - the cost of the breakfast : it is good but too expensive.We have reserved a double non smoking room but we were obliged to sleep in a smoking room. No other rooms were available because the hotel was completely full. No discount given for this mistake. Facilities could be open longer i.e pool and bar. Room 415 was - in my view - very noisy with a heavy profond fan running all night. Previous stays in other rooms however were excellent. It was extremely cold during the night even though the air conditioning was set on 30 degrees celsius. The double bed was made of two single beds and we were sinking in the middle. Very short opening hours for the swiming-pool and fitness center.This hotel needs some serious updating. The rooms are outdated and furniture and beds should be in a museum, not in a hotel. Chairs almost falling apart is just not acceptable in any rated hotel.

The underground parking cannot be reserved in advance and is accessible from noon on the day of arrival.
The Health & Leisure Centre is open:
From Monday until Friday from 07:00 until 10:00 and from 17:00 until 21:00.
On Saturday from 16:00 until 20:00.
On Sunday from 08:00 until 11:00.
On national holidays, the Health & Leisure Centre is closed.

Important information to guests

A security deposit of EUR 50 is required upon arrival for incidentals. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation. Please note that guests need to make a reservation to have dinner in the Gran Duca restaurant. Please note that from Saturday 24 December 2016 until Tuesday 3 January 2017 restaurant Gran Duca is closed. It will open again on the 4th of January 2017. Guests are kindly requested to note that the health and leisure centre is not open all day. You can contact the hotel for more information about specific opening times. Guests travelling by car are kindly suggested to enter the following address into their GPS to reach the entrance of the hotel: Appelmansstraat 10, 2018 Antwerp.

Travelling information

By plane:
Take the Sabena bus at Zaventem Airport. This bus stops on the De Keyserlei, 100 metres from the hotel.
At Deurne Airport, we recommend that you take a taxi to the hotel. It will take you 10 minutes from the airport to the hotel.
By car:
On the Antwerp ring, you take exit “Borgerhout” in the direction of “Centrum”, Central Station. The Central Station is situated on the “De Keyserlei”. The entrance to the hotel and the car park is in the Appelmansstraat (first street on your left).
By train:
You take the train to Antwerp - Central Station. The exit of the Central Station is located on the “De Keyserlei”, where you will find the hotel within 250 metres.
