The host Mr. Claus was absolutely fabulous. He was extremely nice, hospitable, informative and helpful for all our needs and questions. The breakfast was great and he was nice enough to set aside some breakfast for us at 4 Am in the morning. The rooms don't have their own bathroom and have shared bathrooms, but that didn't seem to be a problem for us. The staff went out of their way to assist us - we had a late night flight and, after checking out of the Pension in the morning, staff stored our luggage until 6pm at no cost. We also had to catch a train before the usual breakfast times at the Pension so staff very kindly supplied a 'picnic' breakfast for us before we left. Rooms were very spacious.
all reviews » This was a really nice place to stay in Vienna. Anita and her son are very accommodating. The rooms have beautiful high ceilings and wood floors. It's very tidy. It's walkable to all the sights or a quick walk to the great public transportation in Vienna. There was a nice breeze when we opened the window. Well located, and very good breakfast. Easy to get there by tube, and near the stop of a shuttle bus from airport. Staff are great and helpful =) Bem localizada, e o café da manhã é excelente. Nice spacious and clean twin room in a hundred plus year old building on a quiet road in Vienna. Short walk away from city attractions as well as Metro and Airport Bus. Anita is like a 'Mother' to all her guests and makes you feel very welcome. Very comfortable clean family run hotel, very friendly helpful staff in a great location. The only improvement would be tea and coffee making facilities for guests. We would highly recommend this hotel for a more cost effective stay in Vienna. There is nothing bad to say about pension: the location is great, room is huge, the host is very friendly and nice. Our room (#3) was very large. family running hotel, good breakfast. There was a sewage-ish smell that came from the bathroom. There are a lot of rules, like only use their toilet paper or you'll have to pay for toilet repairs. There was no cell phones or computers at breakfast (which was okay with us, but just a fair warning if you're there on business). There was no working wi-fi signal, as advertised. We ended up using the free wi-fi at cafes. To get to the shared toilet/showers you have to go through the dining room. That's not a big issue, but it would be better to have the shower/toilet near the rooms. Some rooms do not have private bathrooms but do have sinks in room with two locking toilets with separate shower and tub room just down the hall. We had no problem and always found toilet available. Dislikes are all bathroom related... which was small and cramped and felt like it had been forcefully built into the room. Hot water was a nonexistent trickle. The bathroom has a timer, which is a nice ecofriendly thought, but makes you count your five, ten or fifteen minutes so that the lights dont go out on you!. The breakfast could be better %). WiFi didn't reach the room and required reconnecting to LAN. Low showerhead. Only one bathroom for guests without ensuite rooms. Had to walk through dining room to get to bathroom. Nothing, it was all we were expecting. Very small room and bathroom. only 1 person barely at a time in bathroom. I felt a bit cold in the room maybe because of cold weather outside. The wireless Internet never worked the entire time of my stay. The check-in time (before 8 p.m.) is a little bit early. No air condition. bathroom was quite small. to little showers. the bathroom not in the room!!. The pension requires a serious renovation! Furniture must be from the fifties. Too expensive for the service provided. only receive cash, no aircondition in summer.
