The fact that it was an old wool store business converted and the facade
was left in tact. I loved the big old black doors and the floor mosaic
telling us what the building had been used for in the past. Has any
history of the building been kept to view while staying at the Oaks
Goldsborough, Darling Harbour??
I liked the view from the balcony towards Pyrmont Bridge and surrounds and the fact that we had a balcony was a bonus.

Well, was I pleasantly suprised!
I stayed with my 15 year old daughter, and were on the 12th floor.
This place ticks all the boxes.
All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hair drier wasn't working in my room - house keeping replaced it straight away.
We felt safe, a couple of nights arriving back after midnight...both the security guy on the ca.
We loved the close proximity to Darling Harbour. We got a lovely surprise when we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment which had everything we wanted in it. Everything was very clean, and the bed was very comfy. The old warehouse building has been refurbished to keep a lot of the original floors, beams and fixtures.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. We will definitely stay here again when in Sydney, and will recommend to all our family and Friends.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful-quite surprising really. A cleaner who saw us looking puzzled when we first arrived told us where the reception was without even asking and the girl on reception was so warm and friendly. The room was quite big for a studio apartment.Love how easy it as to walk from the parking to the apartments and the easy access to restaurants etc.

2nd level (less steps!) from the overpass from Darling
Harbour/Monorail without having to go through reception. Had booked
a studio apartment, but we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment.

floor penthouse 2 bedroom harbour view apartment, was a little
disappointed as my children were excited.We were on level 11 which I

We loved the old style building, and the interior was very unusual. Our appartment overlooking the harbour and had amazing views. The location was excellent, could'nt have been better. Walking distance to harbour and all it has to offer. The appartment was cleaned on a daily basis, clean towels every day. Terrific service. Would definitely stay there again.
The apartments had fantastic modern facilities and were very clean and comfortable with all the facilities and comforts of a modern hotel. The staff were very professional and friendly. The position with Darling Harbour was fantastic!. I was considering between staying at these apartments and George St and am so glad with my end decision.
Location is great and the view from our apartment was wonderful. We were especially appreciative of the complimentary upgrade of our studio booking, the apartment being a good size with all appliances and facilities in excellent order. Staff were friendly and daily room service most efficient. We will definitely stay here again.
We stay at the Oakes whenever we go to Sydney. I love the building!!! We love the location and the accessibility to whatever we want to do in Sydney. We love being able to cook ourselves, which makes for a cost effective stay in Sydney.We like being able to have a swim. the staff are always well mannered and efficient.
On arrival the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had an extra
person stay with us and a roller bed was sent up - it had a roller wheel
missing from it but the person who bought it up said it would be ok and
it was. The front staff were just lovely - thanks. We were there from
Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th October.

I found the accommodation very good, especially as we got a special deal, late booking, the room was nice, specious, modern, great view of the Harbour.
Check in and check out was simple.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived at 7.30am and was provided with a room on arrival. The decor of the hotel is pretty unusual. I liked the set-up of the room, with kitchenette. I was attending a conference in Doltone House so it was very convenient, while also being convenient for the city.
a great location. we couldnt believe how close we were to darling harbour for the cost of the stay. would be great for a family on a budget because of the full cooking facilities and laundry. we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone. it is basic but clean and great location.

We liked the comfort of the apartment and it's close proximity to the city centre. Was just a walking distance away for us from some nice attractions of Sydney. Then we also enjoyed the facilities of gym and spa which were great ways to relax at the end of an exhausting day.
The location is great to visit most of the iconic sites in Sydney. Our room had an excellent view - we even watched the fireworks from our window. The staff quickly attended to the couple of problems we had. Check in was quick, and staff very helpful with bookings etc.
It was convenient to Darling Harbour. Being just a grandmother with an 8yr grandchild we were able to catch public transport to city and venues we wanted to see. To be able to buy and/or prepare an easy evening meal in the kitchen was a bonus. Swimming pool was great.
Location is great; hotel is nicely restored woolstore that retains all of the internal structure; very quiet; good facilities. Room was clean and quite well appointed for the price. Kitchen would be excellent for self-catered long stays.
Staff were very helpful, loved our room! (226) no long elevator trips we could simply walk straight out to where we needed to go! Room was very lovely! So close to everything! Light rail right out the front! Would recommend this hotel.
Love the facilities and the tasteful conversion of one of Sydney's Iconic warehouse's into the fantastic accommodation that It now is, I would love to live there permanently, Developers and investors of this project well done!.
I loved the location to darling harbour it was less then a five minute walk. The room it's self was worth the money, foxtel, laundry area and the kitchenette were all used. The design of the hotel was different and very cool.
The staff were exceptional and the location to the harbour and city was great. We received an upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom apartment which was great as I wouldn't have wanted anything smaller for a 3 night stay.

Funky apartments with a difference; very close to Darling Harbour. Excellent location. Well-equipped apartment (if everything worked). Staff promptly did fix things that didn't work such as the television and liights.
The location was good for what we wanted to see and do at Darling Harbour & Sydney city.
The reception staff were very helpful and catered to our needs in a very pleasant manner. The accommodation was comfortable.
Great rooms with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and high ceilings and spacious. We were staying with another couple so very good for privacy. We went to Neil Young concert at Ent. Cent. So great location to walk to venue.

Great location just behind Darling Harbour. We had a spacious studio apartment. It was really well equipped with very comfy bed and washer and dryer. Good value for money for somewhere so central.

From our first meeting the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, upgrading us from a studio to a 1 bdrm apartment on arrival. They were happy to assist with directions, extra tea/coffee etc.
We have stayed with you many times over the past 25years,We like the
closeness to all modes of travel as we do not have a car when in
Sydney.We find the rooms comfortable & staff friendly.
For the purposes of my visit to attend a conference at D/Harbour, it was perfect, ideally located and an excellent price.

The location was fantastic and the building was gorgeous, the kids thought they were inside a giant pirate ship. The suite was very spacious with full facilities and a great view. Loved it.

Stayed in a 1 bed appartment. Everything was perfect. The advantage of having self catering make it easier to plan meals. Close to the heart and hub of Sydney. Staff were very helfull.
Proximity to entertainment centre and Darling Harbour. Also that the rooms were serviced each day. Bed were comfortable. Luggage was stored for us after check out on our last day.
Although the building is hard to find the first time, it is in a good location and has excellent access to the trams and Darling Harbor. Nice to have washer and dryer in the unit.

Getting stuck in Lift No 3 on the 12th floor on our exit on Sunday 10th
March was a bit of a shock. That we walked down the fire exit stairs
with our luggage was distressing and our shuttle bus to the airport had
to be held for us. Afterwards, we found out we could have used the
Service Lift, but didn't think of it in our anxiety.
Needed to stay longer.
Not too comfortable with sitting on the balcony-doesn't look secure even though I'm sure it is. The TV was difficult to work-could not find info on how it worked, so we didn't worry too much. There was a septic smell coming from the toilet and kitchen sink??.

The only fault we had was the lifts. That is only because I hate lifts and found them to be quite slow in reaching our floor. But I know the Oaks are working on upgrading them.
I couldn't see an obvious sign of the name on the outside of the building. If it wasn't for the taxi driver knowing where it was I wouldn't have found it especially in Sydney traffic.
The apartments were like a modern hotel but the corridors between the lifts and the rooms to be honest looked like the inside of a jail. However I realise it was an old warehouse transformed .
Owing to delayed departure of our flight we were very late (after 10pm) arriving at the Oaks Goldsbrough accommodation. The Pyrmont Road entrance is poorly lit and signposted (we had walked from Convention Bus Stop) and it was most disconcerting not to be able to advise desk staff of our arrival due to doors being locked and
communication system not working! Fortunately, after a short, but frustrating time, a current guest was able to let us in, as they already had a door key.
There's no sauna. Could you please find a place to put a sauna!!!
what about double glazing some of the windows on the nosier sides of the building.

I found the accommodation difficult to find from Central Station, I did not know that the light rail train went very close to the apartments, but know now, for when I come to stay again!.
The shuttle bus driver is the last impression of Sydney/Oaks Goldsbrough and could be a bit more pleasant. He barked at me that he had been waiting inside for me while I had been waiting outside! Perhaps a better system for passengers/driver to identify each other could be considered?.
Staff a bit slow in checking in.
Felt the open stairways a bit dangerous for young children. Had to grab a young child who was climbing and leaning over railings while her mother was unlocking appt door.

Our television had a mind of its own as it kept turning on and off, our air conditioner stopped working quite a few times, you could hear people in the corridor, people in the room next to us were very very loud :-/ our phone in the room did not work! Had an extremely confusing last night as the hotel fire alarm went off, my partner and I had no idea what to do, where to go. The elevator was slow.

Our room was situated next to a resident it looked like. Very creepy and had the lights off and door open throughout our stay. Not very welcoming.
Minor issue with bathroom vanity taps needing new washers as they constantly leaked and couldn't use the washing machine as the button was missing (used friends).
Nothing bad ,just to make aware that it can get a bit noisy when people run along the hallway- as it's an old building,but nothing that interrupted a good night sleep :-).
Too many things needed fixing when we arrived - the television,bulbs needed replacing in lights etc.
Quite noisy with some permanent tenants as well as guests.
On 2 separate days our room was not serviced as promised.
On the first occasion when we rang reception someone came and serviced our room immediately. On the 2nd occasion we came back too late to ring and complain to reception.

Noisy on lower levels - throughout all hours of night and early in
morning - was also very drafty & hard to control room temperature,
toilet ran constantly and loud fan in bathroom that couldn't be
turned off Old appliances Slow lifts - no other way down as staircase
doors locked from inside - dangerous in emergency No consumables were
ever replaced by cleaners - ie had to constantly ask for tea bags,
detergent etc to be replaced.
My only complaint was with the Concierge on the day of leaving who was
most unhelpful.

Was hoping for a bit of some kind of view but instead was looking at a red brick wall.
OUTRAGEOUS wi-fi charges!! At these connection prices, they should not claim to have wi-fi access. Only corporate fat cats would pay these fees. Most expensive wi-fi I've ever seen anywhere. It's a deal-breaker for future trips.
Problems with the lift. Corridors décor - the metal railings were unsightly.
Lifts are slow.
The sheet had marks on it, looked clean(I hope!) but had oil spots on it, grossed me out a bit.
Bedroom was a little on the small side.
Having to walk through the dingy Carpark at night when you get off the Light Rail.
