Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has
clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was
really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently
rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The room was
large, very clean, the shared bathroom down the hall, which is usually

well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was
very good. -
The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there,
my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of
charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was
still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better
room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this
excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

We stayed in an apartment facing the road with river views on the second storey. Nice big balcony and no road noise inside with doors closed. I loved it's location in Park Road next to the restaurants- great for Sunday breakfast.
And it was lovely having a river view from the balcony- very relaxing sitting there with a coffee.
I also liked the interior design- where the front doors overlook the lobby.

The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer, and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming.
Carparking was easy - a fee of $35 but we already knew about that so it was not a surprise. Still reasonable for inner city secure parking.
The room itself was just lovely. Clean and new, modern and well decorated, I could find no fault. We had a one bedroom city-view apartment.
