Great location close to South Brisbane rail station with direct line to airport. 10 minute walk to centre of Brisbane and 5 min walk from southbank and cultural centre where there are numerous great restaurants. 15 minute easy walk to Suncorp stadium. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast at the recommended street cafe was vast and best value I had in whole 3 week trip. Although this isn't in centre of Brisbane it is ideally located. Modern, new, clean, helpful staff, Peel St Kitchen, nice small touches. Nice and spacious feeling to apartment, tiled floor was good. Living room and dining room Furniture was really nice, modern, contemporary and classy, i want to know where the designer was and where the furniture came from ;-) Apartment was well stocked with toiletries and sundries. Excellent facilities: ample room (about 60m2 plus 10m2 balcony) divided into usable spaces for lounge, kitchen and dining with separate bedroom. Plenty of good cupboards and hanging space. Kitchen equipment and laundry machines (in cupboards of kitchen) were ideal. Décor was simple and uncluttered. My son and me stayed at Capitol apartments to see state of origin. Very convenient as flew into brisbane then caught train which was a short walk to apartments and walking distance to suncorp stadium. They gave us a free upgrade which was fantastic. Would recommend and certainly stay here again. Thank you. I and a friend stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment and it was excellent. Just like being at home. I arrived about half an hour early than check-in time and the staff were incredibly gracious and friendly. An excellent location for South Bank where we saw a concert at QPAC. Would highly recommend. Staff were extremely helpful and the room & facilities were clean, comfortable & well laid out. The room had excellent views back to the city and no noise, despite being adjacent to the rail line. Location was perfect for our function at the Brisbane Entertainment & Convention Centre. Very well designed for a small space. Our one bedroom unit on the 10th floor was perfect. We were as far from the train line as possible and had no problem with noise. It is only a 10-15 min walk to Sth Bank, West End, Paddington and the city. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Brand new, large apartment, beautifully decorated and maintained. Fantastic views. Wonderful service - our request for early check in and late check out were accommodated happily. Facilities are modern and space is used wisely. Heaps of storage and a lovely balcony. The apartments were modern, large, clean & comfortable. It was very conveniently located for our visit to the Brisbane Specialist Dental Surgery. There is a lovely coffee shop/restaurant on the ground floor. It was also walking distance to the city. We stayed to be closer to a night show instead of driving back to the Gold Coast that night. It was within walking distance, that was great for us, along with the parking underneath was a hit. The accommodation was great. Staff on check in. The gentleman who welcomed us and had an excellent manner! We were a little early but were able to park the car in car park and given keys, go out for lunch,then room upstairs was ready on our return. Urban view from the balcony was fascinating. Double glazed windows which blocked the trains perfectly. Central location. Modern décor and super bathroom. Efficient and very friendly staff. Off street parking. Proximity to Suncorp Stadium and South Bank is excellent. Easy to follow out of hours access instructions - seamless. Clean. Right next to the train line and yet double glazing kept noise down considerably. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early, which was great as we arrived on an early flight. Vet central location, 10min walk to South Bank, 15min walk to CBD. The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. Also security arrangements were excellent. Nothing it was great and ideally placed for British lions trip. Iron in the room - a $15 iron was too small and cheap and not suitable for pressing shirts etc. For a luxury apartment, for business people who are focussed on meetings and business, these things are very important. The bed was probably a bit on the cheap side too, not as comfortable mattresswise as id expect in a luxury apartment, it felt hard. A good nights sleep on a comfortable mattress is also important for business travellers. Operating instructions for microwave and hotplate were gibberish (for someone who has never used such equipment). Similarly, I couldn't figure out the TV and video system (my fault) so I have no idea what is the full capability of the 3 remotes. Can't complain about anything. Nothing. The couch was a bit uncomfortable and hard to relax on. We were on the 10th floor, front corner apartment & there was a terrible smell in the hallway. It seemed to emanate from the fire hose cupboard & smelt like dead mice. N/A. Having to cart rubbish down the hallway and fill the dishwasher given we only stayed one night and had an early flight home the next morning. Single beds are a bit narrow if your a bigger person. Main bedroom smelt of urine (not the ensuite, it smelt ok). Both fans in bedrooms too noisy to use. Air con quiet. Cups & glasses not all that clean. Some of our group felt the beds weren't that comfortable. I liked every aspect of the Capitol Apartments. Being charged $10 to park, checking in with a car a little daunting first time stay, will know better next time. Will definetly stay again. Couches were uncomfortable. no dislikes at all. Air con was weirdly loud but that was ok, we just turned it off. Cost. Water pressure.---please! I understand saving water and looking after our planet, on the other hand I would love to wash all the soap off as well, which was almost impossible with the existing pressure. Mood or dimmed lighting in the lounge area would be nice instead of the harsh ceiling lights. Builders hammering on walls at 6.30am on first day and 7am to 8am on other days including weekend. Office not manned for entire weekend. Nothing. Maybe only that. my stay wasn't long enough. Instructions for hooking up to WiFi were pretty ordinary and didn't cover the two days we anticipated. The view was not the best, looking at a train track!! but with double glazing of the windows the noise was reduced. (no problem at all) Felt that the reception should of explained the location better, especially for bars and eateries.?. nothing really. a light bulb and tv was out of 'tilt' but was repaired immediately upon mentioning it...you cannot ask any more than that can you?. I liked it all. paid wifi - should be complimentary gym facilities would be ideal if there were weights available. Double beds...bring on queen size beds. Comfortability of beds could be softer, no baths just showers. Staff called more than 2 times to recheck booking - seemed excessive. Not one thing can I be negative about. The apartments are located between the South bank and West End, which is not the best area of Brisbane. However they are a short walk to both so very convenient for eating and shopping. It was a shame that we did not find out until the day before we left that wifi was free.
