After living in crowded, dirty and run down hostels for 4 months I decided to take a break between travelling and stay in my own room with bathroom for 2 nights. It was heavenly! The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer, and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there,
my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of
charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was
still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better
room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this

Central location. Secure parking.
Staff followed up with a phone call (which we appreciated) after check-out re our complaint of poor TV reception - advising he had changed the cable and the reception was now fine. We weren't aware we could contact staff re the TV reception (as we thought it would cost us a "call-out" fee) considering it was the weekend and the hotel reception wasn't manned. We were happy with the cost for the 2 night stay.
