Love the oaks on felix - great location near to Botanical gardens, riverwalk, great restaurants, shops, etc. Very comfortable and especially like the kitchens, washer/dryers,balconies. Pay a bit more and get balcony facing river and Storey Bridge. No business facilities, but staff are very helpful. Very satisfied. Worth the money spent to stay here. Perfect for our family of five. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Enjoying views of the Brisbane River and its not too far from Adelaide Street. As Muslims, the apartment is also not far from Halal food stall or restaurant.
all reviews » Excellent location, excellent staff. Very good, new, clean, spacious, fully equipped accommodation. It even had a dishwasher and tumble dryer, It's high rise but say you want a lower floor if thats a problem, The bar and restaurant are next door but can be charged to your room. With a great view of the river and a wonderful apartment it was enjoyed by the whole family. It is positioned in a great location within the city as it is close to everything and yet quiet. Highly recommend it. everything, the bed was extremely comfortable, the furniture and fittings were in excellent condition. Unfortunately the shower cubicle was a little run down, although lovely hot water. The apartment was big and comfortable, very cosy. The cooking facilities were good. The location is excellent, near to the city's agitation but quiet enough. A good stay alltogether. Staff were very helpful and pleasant which is not always the case these days. The room was spacious with a glorious view of the river. Everything was clean and modern. Nothing, it was all good. Having to pay for parking. I couldn't find any instructions on how to use the dishwasher. The staff could be more friendly. We may not be dressed in fancy clothes but we paid their salaries the same way. Difficult to find a spot to park at the front when checking in. Parking cost extra. Shower over bathtub needed silicon replacing as it was mouldy, king bed was too big for the bedroom - you had to turn sideways to fit between bed/wall or window. nothing. Could have had more crockery. Required if entertaining. n/a. 1 or 2 of the lifts were not working during the stay which meant quite a wait. No plug for kitchen sink and washing up liquid. No instructions for stove or dishwasher. The price was a little high for what it was and the time of year. Very disappointed that the room with the view in a 2 bdrm apartment was locked and made into a 1bdrm. Almost impossible to navigate the wretchedly tight parking area. The quality of the television was very bad, with constant blurring of the screen. We had a portacot which wouldn't fit in the room properly. Rooms got very hot and stuffy at night even though its the middle of winter!. Bathroom, no electrical switches to plug shavers or hairdryers. Light and fan did not function correctly (and yes we did check the remote for all of this but it was about midnight when we realised it was not working som the room was very stuffy as there is no opening windows. Lighting in bathroom is poor, especially when shaving. Nowhere to park while checking in. Nothing. It was all good. Had to ask for hangers in the wardrobe. Only one wine glass and no cork-screw. Apartment building was musty. Rooms had worn and damaged furniture. Bathroom was not well designed. Lack of privacy from adjacent office towers at night. Bed Car Park hard to negotiate. male staff at front counter. We had appartment 298 which was right next to the rubbish chute for the 29th floor. The smell of the rubbish permeated the whole appartment and it was a bit cold to have all the windows and balcony doors open all the time. The building site across from the hotel had jackhammers starting at 7.30 am!! Probably best to avoid this hotel whilst that is going on. Bathroom filthy . Moved rooms as the furniture was stained and the bathroom was dirty . Next room an improvement but bathroom still unclean . Lack of wifi a massive issue. 1. Paying $25 for a car park on top of $334. 2. Not having the broken TV fixed nor given any form of reduction in price given this poor facility. The hotel was smelling terrible. They didn't give me the room I saw in booking . The room did not get a river view. They didn't get any plug for European or American use. I never got such a big gap between the quality of the hotel and the price I paid. To this hotel I can give only 1 that is because of the location.
