The hotel is fantastic it has not been modernised like so many others, it has a personality and character of its own. I would reccomend it to anyone. The grounds are beautiful and situated next to a dairy farm. We wanted a value-for-money place where we could arrive late and this was perfect. We had a double and 2 single rooms (allowing our grown-up sons not to share) for the same price as the budget chains with good facilities. Sleeping in the annex we were able to park outside the rooms.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Happy to arrange for me to have meals in room due to having my spaniel along, and even supplying a snack for said dog! When I was delayed due to poor weather, staff waited up for my arrival and gave me a lovely warm welcome at the end of a difficult trip. Basically, make me feel as if I'm visiting with friends.

The Hotel is ideally situated for ease of Motorway exit/entrance for either North or South , The owner is very Friendly ,The meals in the restaurant are Excellent Value . I was travelling with my mother and stopped over on our way north.We received a very warm welcome from Sally and were shown to lovely rooms with fantastic views over the garden and hills. Great setting, spacious room & bathroom, very clean and nicely decorated. Fantastic breakfast and plenty to choose from the menu. Proprietors were more than helpful and were there to greet you when I turned up. Lovely touches in the bedroom like sweets, biscuits & coffee making facilities. Warm rooms and very comfortable bed.

Everything was excellent, the room was spotless with tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was superb we were asked what we didnt like for breakfast then we got everything else.The owners were so helpful. By far the best B/B we have ever stayed in. Chris/Pat Wimborne Dorset.

From an extremely friendly welcome to a well appointed room to a superb breakfast, our stay was first class. Free parking at the door and right in the middle of town with lots of places to eat and drink, cannot be faulted.

Lesley& Paul were excellent hosts and were very friendly and helpful. Even though we wanted to leave early for the Open Championship all of the breakfast items were laid out for us - milk. orange juice in coolboxes, bread for toasting in cling film. Accommodation very clean, easy parking, moffat is a good venue.

Room was clean and moderately well equipped. The presence of bunnies munching the back laws was a nice touch.
The evening meal menu is adequate and has a nice variety. This is good as the nearest good restaurant is over 3 km away. -
Easy to find.
Good parking for motorcyles.
Great stop-off location for further travel to Cairnryan.

We asked for the king size delux room, for this you don't stay in the main hotel you stay in the owners property on the shoreline. They couldn't do enough for us from our time of arrivel till we left... There is no bar or resteraunt at the main house but a 10 min walk gets you everything that you need. Excellent room, large, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served promptly. David, the owner is friendly without wanting to know your life story, which I like. This room is great value for money. We paid £99 for a tiny cramped room in a hotel in the Highlands. You could fit two such rooms in the one we had in Glenaldor.
We would highly recommend this B+B.
