I booked the hotel for myself and my staff as we where working from home, the Service from all staff members was excellent they seen to our every need, fantastic choice at breakfast cooked fresh the way we liked it every morning, Evening meals again delicious, I would highly recomend this accommodation to everyone -

The decor style was a nice try.
The food was lovely and there was plenty of it.
Considering they said it would be noisy the night we stayed our three year old slept like a log. We didn't hear a thing.

second visit and again room was fantastic. couldn't meet a nicer proprietor in Pauline. Very welcoming and friendly.. the best cooked breakfast my hubby ever had (and he's stayed in many a b&b/guesthouse)..having dvd player in room is an added bonus....big thumbs up from gillian and scott.. see you again soon -

This was a small, family run guest house. Stephanie, the proprietor, was an extremely kind and helpful hostess. My room was bright and clean with a comfortable bed. The quality and size of the room was very good value. The service was excellent - I was even welcomed with a complimentary tea and cake.The breakfasts were very tasty and generous & the evening meal I had in my room was superb value. Great location overlooking the town square. The town itself is very pretty and definitely worth a visit. I would not hesitate to return and can thoroughly recommend it.

Rowallan is a lovely country house with beautiful mature gardens, just a few miles drive away from the Galloway Forest. It is just 5 minutes walk from Newton Stewart high street. Julie is an incredible friendly host, nothing is too much trouble for her. If I'm in that area again I shall definitely try to stay at Rowallan.

We received a very friendly and helpful welcome, fairly late on a Saturday evening, when the hotel (and town) was very busy.

The hotel was heaven made for dog owners who like to include their pets in everything that they do. We were able to have our dog with us all the time, including meal times. Lovely room. Very clean an comfortable. Lovely views from our room. Watched ferries pass at night. Quiet too. Had breakfast next door at the merchants house whose owners couldn't do enough. Lovely place too and both very friendly. I highly recommend the breakfast as well worth paying the extra. We had a meal too and this was excellent value for money. No faults whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Location, price, breakfast( although took a while to get served due to a wedding party and they seemed to serve those that arrived later first ). Would suggest 1. investing in a toast machine so people could help themselves to toast whilst waiting and 2. perhaps lay up the whole room for breakfast. We loved this hotel we stayed in a massive room bigger than our front room, My daughter had her own room and they had put a cot in our room to. The staff where really nice not a miserable person in site very happy to help if needed. View is amazing and the drive up is nice, Not to far from things to do with kids. The owners of this bandb were brilliant! We were in Stranraer for awedding and they helped us find somewhere for a quick lunch beforehand,gave us maps and offered ironing facilities. Breakfast the next day wasexcellent too! - The friendliness of Lynne and Kenny they made us feel so welcome, had excellent knowledge of the surrounding area
