I booked the hotel for myself and my staff as we where working from home, the Service from all staff members was excellent they seen to our every need, fantastic choice at breakfast cooked fresh the way we liked it every morning, Evening meals again delicious, I would highly recomend this accommodation to everyone -

The decor style was a nice try.
The food was lovely and there was plenty of it.
Considering they said it would be noisy the night we stayed our three year old slept like a log. We didn't hear a thing.

second visit and again room was fantastic. couldn't meet a nicer proprietor in Pauline. Very welcoming and friendly.. the best cooked breakfast my hubby ever had (and he's stayed in many a b&b/guesthouse)..having dvd player in room is an added bonus....big thumbs up from gillian and scott.. see you again soon -

This was a small, family run guest house. Stephanie, the proprietor, was an extremely kind and helpful hostess. My room was bright and clean with a comfortable bed. The quality and size of the room was very good value. The service was excellent - I was even welcomed with a complimentary tea and cake.The breakfasts were very tasty and generous & the evening meal I had in my room was superb value. Great location overlooking the town square. The town itself is very pretty and definitely worth a visit. I would not hesitate to return and can thoroughly recommend it.

We received a very friendly and helpful welcome, fairly late on a Saturday evening, when the hotel (and town) was very busy.
Throughout our brief stay the staff were excellent and the breakfast (the only meal we took) was very good. The dining room was very attractive too. -

The hotel was heaven made for dog owners who like to include their pets in everything that they do. We were able to have our dog with us all the time, including meal times. Location, price, breakfast( although took a while to get served due to a wedding party and they seemed to serve those that arrived later first ). Would suggest 1. investing in a toast machine so people could help themselves to toast whilst waiting and 2. perhaps lay up the whole room for breakfast. We loved this hotel we stayed in a massive room bigger than our front room, My daughter had her own room and they had put a cot in our room to. The staff where really nice not a miserable person in site very happy to help if needed. View is amazing and the drive up is nice, Not to far from things to do with kids. Everywhere was so clean, cosy and comfortable. We felt valued by the friendly owners.The en-suite bathroom was large and had separate bath and shower facilities. Towels were beautifully soft. The hospitality tray was the best I have ever seen. Also the provision of a separate lounge for guests was a bonus. Breakfast was to die for-beautifully cook

Comfortable room with an excellent seperate sitting area. Facilities to make a variety of hot drinks with no limit imposed by limiting the amount of milk available. Good hearty breakfast. Near to A64(M) so able to break a long journey without having to go to far and not as soulless as a Travel Lodge.

It was very quiet. For a single room it was a good size and had all the facilities I needed.

Rockhill was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was also an obvious attention to detail that made a big difference compared to some places I have stayed. In all, a genuinely welcoming Guest House that was outstanding value for money. -

Run by a very friendly, welcoming and helpful couple. The breakfasts were excellent. They were helpful in suggesting good places to eat in the town. The property was very clean and in a good state of repair and decoration. It is within easy reach of the motorway and a good location to break a north/south journey. -

Our stay was all we had expected when we booked.
