The service was second to none. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxed and very restful. - very friendly and cosy. great food. perfect place for a romantic weekend.we have been in the hotel twice and we cant wait to go back.

Everything. We go to The Lakes often, but had not stayed in Keswick. The location, staff, room (very spacious) and facilities were very good indeed. We really look forward to returning soon to The Skiddaw Hotel. - Central location, high standard of accommodation, friendly staff.

We stayed for one night with our three children (aged 9, 7 and 5). The location is wonderful with views over Derwent Water. We had not stayed in a Youth Hostel before but it really suited us and we would definately consider going back. The children enjoyed the pool table and table tennis table. This is a fantastic place to stay in a perfect location. We travelled to Keswick by train and bus then walked to the hostel.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful
Food was good value, very tasty and plentiful.
Liked having a proper sheet, pillow case and clean duvet cover.
Self catering provision was excellent.
Great facilities for children (table tennis, pool, games).
Loved my stay.

The ambience at Middle Ruddings is excellent. The staff have a laid back easy going efficiency and pay much attention to detail;nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel like old friends although it was our first visit. The food was very good. It is the first hotel I have stayed at where , on ordering a Kipper Fillet for breakfast the

A most charming inn set in a beautiful location overlooking Skiddaw. The staff were exceptionally friendly and as for the food - what can we say but 5 Star with emphasis on top quality local produce cooked with flair and presented with style. The breakfasts were exceptional especially the smoked haddock. Amanda was very welcoming and the homemade cakes were a nice touch. Our room was bright, clean and fairly spacious and breakfast was excellent. The B&B is in a quiet location but close to the town centre, which has plenty of shops and restaurants. It was very helpful being able to borrow maps and guides. -

have been to the Coledale Inn many times for meals over the years but this was our first stay .We found the experience a delight.A wonderful greeting on arrival.A spotlessly clean room-tastefully furnished and nearby residents lounge.A happy place to be and we had a perfect nights sleep.Breakfast was served by friendly staff in the dining room and was very good.We will be booking to go again and will recommend it to all our family and friends.

Malcolm and Jennifer could not have been more welcoming. A lovely quiet hotel a short stroll from the town centre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were magnificent. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone else. -

It was a lovely comfortable and spacious apartment with unexpected little touches like towels, toiletries and tea &coffee making facilities. It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished. Also great to be able to take my dog on holiday. -

The rooms were very comfortable and cool, even though the weather was very hot (there is no air conditioning, but the room still remained nice and cool). The bar was very lively and a great place for a drink etc, and the noise all stopped by 11pm, which was ideal. The breakfasts, although only served between 9 and 9.30am were excellent.
