With a 7 mile car journey residents can enjoy the free use of Oxley’s Health Spa. The spa has a sauna, solarium, indoor pool and fitness centre.
To make the most of the Lake District, guests can take a 15-minute trip on foot to the picturesque Fawe Park, the inspiration to some of Beatrix Potter’s children’s books. Alternately, a 5-minute drive will take guests to Keswick, a market town and the source of the world’s first graphite pencils.

It was a lovely comfortable and spacious apartment with unexpected little touches like towels, toiletries and tea &coffee making facilities. It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished. Also great to be able to take my dog on holiday.
size and layout of apartment (we stayed in Grange) was very good. The free spa option also good. I found the apartment to be fully equipped, yes the kettle is small but made four cups of tea so no need to winge! Standing close to the banks of Derwent Water this hotel is located in a lovely quiet location. Keswick is only a 20 minute walk away using a leisurely footpath. Well worth a visit if you are looking for peace & relaxation.
Location excellent in a lovely. village. Lots of activites to do such as sailing, canoeing etc. Short walk into Keswick. Atmosphere quite but just as we like it. Brilliant. Breakfast in hotel great value for £5.
Really good location just outside of Keswick but an easy 10 minute walk to the town. Beautiful lakeside location we had great views of Derwent water from the apartment.

The double bed was very hard, as was the pillows, so if you like a soft pillow bring your own! Some people may like a hard bed so this is a preference thing.
No Wifi in apartments - need sprucing up a bit - not really luxury. Door in need of repair. Would be happy to pay more as location and building fantastic. .Could not use spa as children over 16 allowed-not clear in brochure. 1 pub and food very poor. Wine and beers good.
