Really liked the personal interaction with the hosts/owners who were very generous with helpful travel tips, advice and recommendations. Our room was generous and light and the bathroom light and bright with good towels. It was the only bedroom on our trip that had a powerboard close to a mirror and a writing table which meant you could plug in your computer, recharge your mobile and use the hair-straightener at the same time!

We felt at home straight away thanks to the excellent friendly staff.Our room was extremely comfortable, furnished to a very high standard,had a beautiful king size bed and was exceptionally clean. Eileen and Michael were welcoming from the first moment we walked through the door. Eileen made afternoon tea for us . The breakfasts were superb. Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day.
Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.

Brendan was very welcoming and helped us to settle in well. Our overnight stay was very enjoyable with a hearty breakfast to start the day. Our host was most obliging with information. The property is a short walk to the city centre where we were able to enjoy a bus tour and get a good perspective of Cork. -

the very friendly service the girl from lithuania is an absolute sweetheart running the place, and also the girl checking us out on the day we left was very very nice , i also very much liked the decor sort of shabby chic old fashioned french very nice and homely i must say. the breakfast was cheap and delicious indeed you can have a full irish an

I could leave my car at the house while I went on my business during the
day, even though I was not going to stay the next night. The room was
very clean and comfortable, and the location was superb, just at the
gates to ucc where my business was located. I will be back
