reception area was gorgeous, girls on the front desk were so friendly and helpful. we arrived early and our room was not ready so we went and had a look around the shops, the girl on the front desk rang when our room was ready and our bags were waiting in our room for us.

The staff were unbelievably helpful, I left my phone behind in one of the bars and they absolutely tried their very best to locate it for me, even offered to let me walk around the bar in the morning to see if I could find it. I left my home telephone number behind on the off-chance that someone handed it in, got into the car and drove home to Dublin. I travelled from Finland with friends to the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel in July 2013. We had a wonderful stay with a very comfortable and extremely spacious room. A lovely hotel just a short walk into the town centre. The staff really could not do enough for us, they were probably one of the best hotel staff we have ever experienced. They definitely went beyond what they needed to. The hotel is lovely and clean and modern. The rooms were lovely and big, think we stopped in a deluxe. The breakfast was also very nice. There was a spa but we didn't have time to use it. Highly recommend this hotel - we will definitely be going back!!

A great stay here. The staff were brilliant and it was difficult to fault this place in any way. Bang in the centre of town and handy for pubs and restaurants as well as the castle and cathedral. When we arrived our room had been set out for someone having an anniversary with towels sculpted as swans on the bed and fresh flowers and fudge truffles
