  I thought the hotel was clean, easy to find, and nicely situated right along the coast. It was a great relief to finally get there when we had been driving for so long. After some of the other hotels we stayed in around the country, the hotel was comfortable enough, clean and well presented, and breakfast was great!   We stayed at a 3 bedroom apartment over the Posturinn, not in the main guesthouse. The apartment was lovely, large and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - they replaced the faucet while we were there and came within 3 minutes when we locked ourselves out at 11pm.   Location was lovely, with views across to the nearby mountains and also down towards the sea at Hofn. Our room (a semi-detached log cabin) was very clean and tidy with a comfy bed and decent shower with plenty of hot water. Hotel does have a restaurant of their own which is - This place is exactly what you need when travelling Iceland - maybe after some youth hostel stays in Southern Iceland, a more comfortable option close to Hofn.
