  very welcoming, unfortunately, due to snow we had to leave early and we were given a discount due to this. We were expecting to pay full price, so this was a very nice gesture. - very good breakfast and friend staff.

  Everything: the staff were very welcoming and so helpful: nothing was too much bother. The look of the hostel was more like that of a hotel than the stigma usually attached to hostels. The cooked breakfast was lovely, especially for the low price we paid for it. Also, the rooms were very well set out and in a very clean and tidy condition. This is a hotel without the extras (I.e doesnt have a hairdryer/towels & a tv on the wall), other than that it does exactly what it says on the tin!! Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent value for money all round!!) Would definitely stay here again!

  The friendly welcome from Natalie, a good sized room that was spotlesslyclean and nicely furnished and decorated.   Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Also parking on site was a great bonus. Only 10 minute, nice walk into the centre. - The guest house was lovely and clean and the room was the same we were really pleased with it and will definately stay there next time we come to York.

It's cheap, clean, safe, quiet, comfortable, welcoming and convenient for central York. It isn't luxurious, but you don't choose to stay in a working convent if you want luxury. Everything you need is there and more, including a huge garden which is a big plus in York city centre.   my friends and i came to york for a couple of days there was supposed to be four of us but one pulled out so two were booked in your hotel i myself was booked into the travel lodge on arriving at premier inn we noticed that we could have all stayed in the one room but i went down to travel lodge and went to room i we were totaly dissgusted it was v... vad folk säger » ery dirty and truth be nown i wouldent put animals in the rooms soback up to your hotel where i was told i was more than welcomr to stay in the room w - Close to the main train station and to one of the city gates giving access to the city walls. Easy walking distance to the sites of the old city. Effective air conditioning, which was necessary during the week we were visiting.Overall, a very comfortable, family friendly business type establishment, which we appreciated after enjoying many excellent b and B's throughout northern England.
