  I loved everything about the hotel. Every member of staff was reallyhelpful and quite lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The bookingout time of 12 noon was realistic and breakfast between 7 and 11 wascertainly more civilised than some hotels.   we had a lovely wellcome when we arrived, nothing was a problem,everyone was friendly,crispy clean room, best bed i ever slept in and im fussy, food good, cant wait to go again, mybe christmas shoping. - the room was lovely and the location.

  Really central. Literally minutes from everything you would want to see. Apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. We arrived way before normal check in time and our train wasn't until 2 the following day. The owner was quite happy to let us in early and stay until 2 the next way. Put it this way.   Great location in central York, also one of the only hotels that allow one-night only booknigs. The rooms were lovely, great bathrooms all newly refurbished and airy. I left my sat-nav on show in my car, they even phoned me while I was out to let me know and then went to my room found my car keys and got it out for me! The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is very good and I would really recommend this hotel.

  The Hotel is placed very convineantly, close to the train station, on the river front and on the door step of the York Dungeons and York centre. Beautiful, traditional room with lovely big bed, lovely view of the river from the room.   Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff).
