  I found the hotel very cosy and intimate. The bedroom was absolutly beautiful. Will definatly be coming back. - Warm and friendly even though a bit "posh". Room was lovely, food was great.village was really nice.

  The whole experience - the setting of the hotel in a historical village, the old building itself sympathetically decorated and furnished, but particularly the attentiveness and polite friendliness of staff. It was a Pearl Wedding celebration and the staff made it really special - a great place to be pampered and relax.   I came from USA for the Service of Blessing in St. Mary's. I just loved the whole of the Ickworth estate. It was great to be able to see the work done on the church and graveyard and be able to see where my family are buried. See the monument and where monument cottage stood. I hope to come again. - The food was incredible, the room was amazing... vad folk säger » , the staff were all really friendly & helpful & the location was stunning. Will be back

  Location was perfect for what I wanted to do. Room was a perfect size. Other hotels could not compete with the price I got. - Very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu, well prepared food. Very pleasant grounds.

  I really enjoyed my one night break here. When I arrived, all reception staff were occupied but my presence was acknowledged and I was checked in efficiently. My room was on the top floor, small but a nice size for a single and everything was clean. The room was hot, given the recent weather and it was a relief to see the fan already there - I def... vad folk säger » initely needed it. The pool area is not too glamorous but the pool is a very nice size for swimming and a good temperature. As were the steam and saun - I stayed here for business. The room was clean and tidy, nice little biscuits with tea/coffee etc. Yes the hotel is slightly tired, but in a quaint way, felt very homely and personal, much like the staff, very helpful and polite. The broadband is quite limiting, many words are banned. even sensible ones that I needed for work, but not a real issue. Breakfast was excellent & service quick and friendly, a good choice of hot & cold. Yes there is housing around the hotel, but if you want so
