A very simple 10 minutedrive to Alton Towers and right on the doorstep for local amenities. TheHotel itself was very clean tidy and had a nice quiet but friendlyatmosphere. The meal we had in the evening was excellent and reasonablypriced. The staff where friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough foryou. Made us up Bacon sandwiches to go.

Ability to book up easily and be looked after efficiently. We only stayed one night after a wedding reception near by and were able to access town easily leaving car safely. We have been once in a group before on a Christmas do and were pleased our stay was as satisfying. thankyou for a good nights rest and excellent breakfast.x -

The staff at the hotel were lovely and couldn't do more for us! The room was a lot better then me and my boyfriend expected, we are only 18 and can sometimes can be treated differently to 'adults' but as I say the staff were lovely! The staff were friendly and approachable. The full English breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location in a town centre was a bit off putting, but even on a Saturday night, I didn't hear any noise during the night from my room. I will definetly be staying here again in the future.

Hotel was very modern and clean. Rooms were a good size with a football theme. Lots of pictures and quotes from England teams and players around the hotel. Pool and gym were an added bonus. Had an amazing massage in the spa which I would highly recommend. Really nice buffet breakfast with a variety of options.

We had a fabulous stay overnight at this magnificent hotel! It is new, spacious and extremely well-appointed. The rooms and bathrooms have all mod-cons and more! The inter-connecting doors were useful with children next door. Wonderful countryside view. The lovely, clean swimming pool and spa are perfect to relax in after a day at Alton Towers (30-minute drive). Helpful staff, and a fantastic array at the hot & cold buffet breakfast. Highly recommended this for a tranquil break.

I stayed at Drayton manor hotel with my son for his 6th birthday and we really enjoyed our visit , the young girl behind the desk was lovely , very well spoken and explained everything we needed to know about our stay , everyone we encountered on our stay were very pleasent too .
Breakfast was great with loads of food available .
Only thing I'll mention is a bit more milk in the room for a few cups of tea throughout the stay would of been nice , but other than that I will be returning to your h

We stayed here whilst on a 2 day pass to Alton Towers. The guest house was located about 10 mins from the resort and was easy to find. Close to local shops/pubs/restaurants. The owners were lovely and friendly and cooked a really good breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean. Good value for money. -

Stanshope Hall is a fabulous place to stay. We got a last minute rate of £60 for a twin room which was exceptional value for money but I would not hesitate to stay again at full rate. Lynne, our hostess, was very friendly and gave us tea and home made flapjack on arrival in the lovely drawing room. The photos online do not do the twin room justice in my opinion, the bathroom in particular is excellent.

I absolutely loved everything about the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even to the point of meeting me at my car in the rain with a umbrella to escort me into the hotel. The room was beautiful and quaint, the breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice and again the service was very good. I would definitely recommend the hotel with its quaint additional touches. It's like stepping back in time. Luxury at an inexpensive price.
