Great parking facilities for a town centre hotel. Good location. Big effort from staff to ensure you had everything a needed. Rooms excellent, heating just right for the cold weather. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and tidy. Good car parking and the hotel was quiet. So we all slept well. The buffet breakfast covers all the bases, cereal, pastries, scrambled egg, sausage etc etc, but no bacon oddly. So don't expect a full English! I don't consider that a major problem tho! -

As their was no pictures of the room i assumed it wouldnt be very nice, but i was wrong the room was nearly refublished and was very very nice, the bed was massive and the tv was even flat screen with a diggi box! The staff are very helpful and friendly. They are able to give you menus for takeaways and give you plates etc for them. The location is ideal for Drayton Manor and the Snowdome also for the shops and a short walk to Tamworth its self. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel and room very clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from, all fresh. Hotel in perfect location, close to town, sport centre, retail park, soft play and bowling centre. Close to Drayton Manor too. We stayed 2 nights, and will definitely stay here again. In general very happy with stay.

I have stayed at the Old Royd for many years when travelling to Alton Towers and I have never had a bad word to say. They get better infact, every year. Very pleasant and comfortable and within easy reach of all pubs, restaurants, tesco and attractions like Alton Towers. Great value for money and they cater for larger families as well as groups of friends which can sometimes be difficult to get a room for. We have stayed at many Premier Inns in different parts of the uk. This
was the best. We ate in the hotel the first day then tried somewhere
else. We were back at the Premier Inn the next day as the food was
better. More variety,well cooked, well served and value for money. We
are pensioners on a limited income but were visiting family as it was
our golden wedding. This was our little treat and we hope we will return
again one day.

Beautiful location, new, modern building. Fabulous pool, spacious, spotless, modern. Large Car Park,superb (free!!) full english breakfast. -
Why pay for the hilton when you can stay in the same building for much less. TV was enormous.
