Went here for my annivesary. THe staff were professional and friendly. They didn't have the room I booked so they upgraded me to a two bedroom superior suite. The room was nice, sleek and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the staff made our stay welcoming, relaxing and ensured they knew our names for that extra personal touch. We would definitely rebook this facility in the near future and have recommended Distinction to our friends and family.

After being delayed by weather and airlines for 2 days, we arrived at the Copthorne quite tired, frustrated and disappointed that our three night stay had been reduced to just one night. Thankyou to your staff that night.We arrived in from Sydny after 1 am without our bags and only the cloths we were wearing. We had a 8 am departure that morning and they kindly arranged for our cloths to be washed and ready by 6 am.
Nothing was too much trouble and they definately "went the extra yard"

The staff were exceptional, particularly the reception staff and the concierge. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of artwork on display, including the motorbikes - some pieces were outstanding. Being in the heart of the city was a huge plus for exploring on foot. The balcony was a great surprise that I wasn't expecting. My bed was very comfortable.

Good location, everything functioned well, clean, helpful no-frills front desk. We did not use restaurant facilities.
Anyone considering booking should note that taxis drop off and pick up in Gilmer Tce, which is level with 7th floor reception, walk along well lit underground carpark. Take lift to ground level, then walk down Plimmer Steps to get to Lambton Quay. Lift does not go right down to street level.

We liked everything about this hotel. We were upgraded to a large,
beautifully appointed room, in keeping with the 1920s period in which
the hotel was built. Everything was lovely including cups and saucers.
We had a large bathroom, including bath with claw legs and twin basins.
TBreakfast and lunch in the restaurant were excellent. Staff were very
helpful.We recommend this hotel highly.

The room was well appointed, with comfortable Queen size bed, tea/coffee, and mini bar, walk in shower. Very quiet.

We were very happy with the apartment accommodation for our second night - thank you. Your bar staff are great - the young man bartender was professional and very good and the young lady serving snacks had a very nice approach to guests.

Position is excellent and that the owner organised transport for us to the airport (4am), was very much appreciated, We loved that there is a curfew on planes as we thought we might have been kept awake all night. The location was ideal for our purposes. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were excellent. We had previously stayed at another Grand Mecure and was encouraged to book because of this. Also our daughter is getting married at the Grand Mecure Monaco (Nelson) in Sept and we wanted to support Accor because of the service we are receiving from Clare and staff at Nelson.

The corner apartment was great and the building felt safe after the earthquakes and us coming from Christchurch. The locatin was perfect. The senior staff member (female) was friendly and easy going.
