On arrival we were surprised with a free upgrade from a standard to Executive Suite. The decor and furniture were quite modern and the place was very clean. Staff were helpful. Lots of parking space and the location is really close to town and the waterfront. Nestled in a really quiet area too. -

We stayed in 2 units, one recently renovated, the other still waiting.
We found both units to be warm, clean and user friendly.
Access to and from the motel was easy, with entry/exit on both sides of motel.
The host was very welcoming and provided us with directions to get to closeby shops & dining. -
Adequate room and amenities for the money

I liked the fact that we were near everything the people were very friendly ,while we were staying there cleaners came in to clean which I think was so kind .Absolutely loved the service we received there was nothing that I could find wrong lovely couple running the place will stay there over and over again -

Our host was fantastic. The 'converted barn' suite was absolutely divine. The bed was excellent. I slept like a baby after a long international flight and a drive from Auckland. Character home that was tastefully set-out in simple decor and style. Surrounds and house were coherent producing a place of rare quality for a B & B. Private rooms, unobtrusive host, pool, billard room, outstanding service, comfort levels in linen, beds, verandahs, dining options meant this was the ideal place to retreat to for a weekend or several days. Close to wonderful coastal beaches and walks. Perfect for couples.

Just to explain, I dropped my son off at the motel (I did not stay myself). However I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness (and relieved). And it seemed there was a lot of pride taken in keeping it nice. It was much nicer than I anticipated given the great price. -

It was amazing value for money and the rooms were cosy and clean.
We were coming up for a Dive trip that ended up getting cancelled due to high winds so we will definitely stay at Kensington Motel again when we next go and do our dive.
