They gave us great advice on the things to do and more importantly what not to do in terms of paying far too much for taxis and how to use the transport system. Hotel Laxnes is set in beautiful surroundings and we had an excellent stay there in October 2013! The staff is very kind and helpful, hotel was very clean with an excellent service! It feels homely and it is beautifully decorated! Very close to all local amenities! Would highly recommend it! Thanks to Shaun and all staff for making our holiday so amazing!

We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. I enjoyed my short stay, as I relaxed like never before. Slept like a baby in a comfortable bad, toilets and room were clean, breakfast great (especially the croissants freshly baked!) and the staff is really friendly and nice. I would recommend it to everybody - especially in the high season!

One of the most enjoyable places we stayed at while traveling in Iceland. Edda's Farmhouse in Town felt like home away from home, close to Reykjavik (and Keflavik), and a good starting point for exploring the southwest countryside. We have stayed here one night, and were very satisfied. Close to Reykjavik, but you need a car. Nice and clean room, shared bathroom but close to the room we had. Free wifi worked, and we got a glimpse of an real icelandic home, wonderful experience! Great breakfast, with home-made bread which the host prepared herself. We had some great conversations with our host, and enjoyed learning about the culture first hand from her. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
