Excellent communication and support from the owners, who were very helpful and welcoming. Shaun and the people who work at the Laxnes cant do enough for you. We had to change plans a number of times and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us great advice on the things to do and more importantly what not to do in terms of paying far too much for taxis and how to use the transport system. Hotel Laxnes is set in beautiful surroundings and we had an excellent stay there in October 2013! The staff is very kind and helpful, hotel was very clean with an excellent service! It feels homely and it is beautifully decorated! Very close to all local amenities! Would highly recommend it! Thanks to Shaun and all staff for making our holiday so amazing!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Alfholl Gueshouse. The owner Kristjan is very nice and follows up with you to find out what time your flight arrives/leaves to makes sure everything is in order. We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. No reception staff, but self check-in and finding the room key was easy. Just 200 yards from the sea front and the Sun Voyager statue.

Ground floor of a little house with parking out front. Like having your own home. Close to harbour, museums, shopping streets, restaurants. Right in the old centre. Friendly hosts were available by text to answer questions. We will definitely stay there again should we return to Iceland. -

The interior of the house is very nice, the shared areas as well as guests' rooms are furnished with taste. 1 bathroom for 2 rooms (not for the whole guesthouse). What is particularly remarkable about the place is that nearby there is a modern art sculptures garden.

One of the most enjoyable places we stayed at while traveling in Iceland. Edda's Farmhouse in Town felt like home away from home, close to Reykjavik (and Keflavik), and a good starting point for exploring the southwest countryside. A delicious breakfast of Edda's freshly baked bread and eggs from the hens in the yard were a great start to our days

We have stayed here one night, and were very satisfied. Close to Reykjavik, but you need a car. Nice and clean room, shared bathroom but close to the room we had. Free wifi worked, and we got a glimpse of an real icelandic home, wonderful experience! Great breakfast, with home-made bread which the host prepared herself. We had some great conversations with our host, and enjoyed learning about the culture first hand from her. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
