Hotel Laxnes is set in beautiful surroundings and we had an excellent stay there in October 2013! The staff is very kind and helpful, hotel was very clean with an excellent service! It feels homely and it is beautifully decorated! Very close to all local amenities! Would highly recommend it! Thanks to Shaun and all staff for making our holiday so amazing!

We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. We have stayed here one night, and were very satisfied. Close to Reykjavik, but you need a car. Nice and clean room, shared bathroom but close to the room we had. Free wifi worked, and we got a glimpse of an real icelandic home, wonderful experience! Great breakfast, with home-made bread which the host prepared herself. We had some great conversations with our host, and enjoyed learning about the culture first hand from her. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
