The manager helped me get my big van parked in a tight space and they received a package for me in addition to holding event tickets in the office for a customer to pick up in my absence. For the price and great Marina location (1 minute walk to Mel's Diner) it was a good choice. The location was great, room clean and comfortable, great to have a lot to park our rental car. It is within walkingdistance to views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, theExploratorium, the Crooked portion of Lombard Street, Fisherman's Warfand the Union Street Shops. It is also convieniently located to bart andMuni transit lines. groud floor apartment with parking outside my door...felt like I was home...Convenient for diner or cafe. Room facilities is enough like coffee maker, iron, closet, dining table and TV. the location everything was assessible.The manager/owner was very helpfull and obliging.The staff is very friendly although he look fierce. Good location, available parking. It is in a great location for those seeking simple shops and food locations used by the locals. It's a little more quiet than the "motel row" on Lombard which is a block away. . The rooms are simple, sometimes a bit threadbare, but were adequate for us, where value for money in a safe location was most important. Public transportion very close by. location, rate. Clean rooms. location + good value for money. Location and surroundings. Near golden gate bridge. Parking limited, however it is free to guests which is a good bonus in San Francisco. The building itself is old(but well maintained, though). Heating wasn't working. Air conditioning was very noisy. Mattresses have seen better days. service-mindness of the office person(nel). Dark, dingy room, with slight smell of tobacco even though n/s. Too far from city center,not convenient for shopping. Having stayed in similar motels in California, this one is veryoverpriced. No ac and no complementary breakfast.

Coming in on Hwy 80 and leaving the bridge, get into the right lane. Continue to Hwy 101 North & Golden Gate Bridge. Then take the last exit off the freeway which is the Fell Street Exit. Follow Fell Street to the top of the hill, approximately five blocks, to Steiner Street (the street before Steiner is Fillmore) and turn right on Steiner Street. Follow Steiner Street approximately 1.5 miles or 18 blocks towards the S.F. Bay, and the Greenwich Inn will be on your left hand side at 3201 Steiner Street at the corner of Greenwich Street.
From Hwy 101 - San Francisco Airport Area:
Head north on Hwy 101. Exit at Hwy 101 North & Golden Gate Bridge Exit. Then take the last exit off the freeway which is the Fell Street Exit.
