I found the staff very helpful. Case in point, I needed it help to get on a online tutorial and the it person set me up. The reception staff were professional but not too formal. They made every effort to attend to any of my requests or answer any of my queries. Quite a relaxed atmosphere and a very good breakfast in a bright and cheerful eating area. Bed room very large and well appointed.
all reviews » Almost the perfect Hotel. Clean & Comfortable with big rooms. Rooftop Pool offers panoramic views of the area. Nice neighbourhood with some interesting Restaurants,especially an Iraqi one, where you can watch the national fish dish ( Masgouf ), slowly roasting on wood embers ! . They also cook chicken & lamb on a Chargoal Grill. Highly recommend. The best point about the hotel is its location. Close proximity to Dubai Metro station and not too far from International Airport as well. Also the staff was courteous enough to send a taxi (chargeable) to Airport and check in my parents , who were coming from India and had landed much before my arrival from Saudi Arabia. Fairly close quarter mile(walking distance) to the Metro station. was upgraded to deluxe room. The first room I was assigned to someone had been smoking in it. The concierge who came with me to the room immediately called the desk clerk and requested another room for me, which was awesome. This is a very nice clean hotel. The ladies at the front desk are wonderful. There are plenty of restaurants close by. Their room serice if pretty good an dthe steak is wonderful. Great location. The 49rs club has great live music and draft beer. I liked that the location of the hotel is very easy to find. The pernight charge is very affordable and low for the nice service that hotel offers (really it's a steal) The hotel staff are very friendly and polit. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Good hotel, nice staff, good enough breakfast and buffet restaurant with a good variety of food; the position is excellent close to metro station, and shops, restaurants etc.; free wifi ok. The staff is very friendly and they go out of there way to help m eout. This inculdes leaving my golf clubs there when I travel. Very good wifi in the rooms now, which is really great. The staff was great! Ate a steak dinner in their restaurant that was good and the atmosphere was nice. Even though I was right above the restaurant and bar, I did not hear the music. Very nice staff, the place is very accommodating for westerners, good food, nice suite, and allowed visitors. Really, if you are a westerner, it is nice to stay at a "normal" hotel. In very late on the first (11pm) and out very early on the 2nd day (5am) so it was on the high side for at 200 euro for 2 nights. Despite this I would still stay again as it is a high standard hotel. The 2 floors underneath mine ( 5 & 6 ) were Smoking floors, and Everytime i walked into my room i could swear i smelt smoke, but the feeling went away after a few minutes ???!!!. It was Ramadan period last year, so food etc services were restricted. With a 2.5 yrs old kid and elderly parents, it was a little difficult to manage, but cant blame them for this social/religious thing. No wifi in the rooms. They need to add wifi to the rooms. Most new devices to not have connections fro wired internet. The soap and shampoo in the bathroom were too much of a poor quality. There isn't many electric outlets, and the main one was broken. Plus the the outlets are standard for local plugs only, I think it should accommodate international plugs. Air condition need to be fixed and internet has to log in every time you want to go Somestimes faced difficulty to find out taxi. Maybe the night cllub but I got a room at 5th floor and behind, so i could reduce substantially the noise;. I had asked for a non-smoking room but one was unavailable when I checked in. The bed was way too hard, and the bar was overpriced. I book a non smoking room which took me to the 7th floor as this is the only non smoking floor , that was fine until I discovered the the water in the tub and shower is very week and could not get a shower after a v long day of travel !!! The reason was even more ridiculous that the 7th floor is high and the water cannot reach it properly !!! (In Dubai ???) so I had to re-pack next day and move into a SMOKING ROOM just to be able to have a decent shower !!!!!!!. hotel really need a lot of maintenance, sometime there are some bad odors also room Carpet need to be changed. This time there were no bath towels and the bathroom floor needed attention as far as cleanliness. The shower curtain had a order it. However this is only one instance. Previous stays were just fine. Dirty carpet. No free Wi-Fi. The isolation between the Rooms and the street the walls dosen't work !!!. There must be a spa. Lifts to the Mezanine floor were difficult to operate and only one lift could be used. The guy at the front desk acted like he didn't care if I was there or not and I asked for a non smoking room when I reserved the room. The parking area was really narrow, not very comfortable for parking. Nothing, everything was good. The Room wasn't ready and We spent more than one our to checkin. The Lady at reception was not really professional. the rooms are small and only steps to entrance. House keeping. nothing. toilet, shower, internet cable. The outside noise could be heard in the rooms. We checked in at 17.00 hrs , Reception staff very bad and taken too much time and return ID after 3 hrs when we forced him. Again night at 3.00am one person asked for ID due to lack of communication from there. Everything was good. There is a delay in answering the phone. nothing. opening the door from outside was a nightmare.
