the staff at the stanford promenade were the friendliest i have met in all my years of going to blackpool. the hotel itself was immaculately clean and the facilties were excellent. i would recommend a stay at this hotel to all of my friends and family. Great hotel and the staff couldnt do enough for us even after thecock up by LetsBookHotel.com the hotel owner went out of his way to finda room for us.

I was at Sandford, Blackpool with my family in June, 2008. The best partabout the place was the bar and the lounge, which was overlooking thebeach, where we spend the evenings enjoying drinks and the view. Boththe hosts, Robert and Stephanie had a very pleasant disposition and werevery warm and welcoming.very nice owners pleasent+friendly loveley food+service,lounge facilaties+bar not to pricey either! got 2 sandwiches for the price of 1 as my husband doesnt have butter+we wanted to share 1 so they did us 2 very nice!. the staff were very friendly and helpful it was like we had known them before, they were good with the children and gave good information on what was on and where. Could not fault!. not realy didnt like! but disapointed realy! as my hubby set the alarm for 9am for breakfast but it didnt go off! so we got down 10 mins late+we couldnt have any! but the landlady said we could have tea+toast in the lounge so that was ok+i suppose the extra sandwich the day before compensated!. the car parking was a bit tight and the cars were beiing moved around. plumbing slightly noisy but it wasn't a big problem. The fact they didn't check our booking correctly and therefore didn't book one of our rooms, didn't take note of the fact we were taking a baby and would need a room big enough for a cot. This resulted in my parents having to stay in another hotel of inferior quality. The staff did make the alternative arrangements for us and were extremely apologetic and allowed my parents use of the hotel.The double room we had was far to small to be called a double it shouldonly have been a single,it was a good job we were only staying for 2nights as we would not have been able to stay in there any longer,pityas that was the only let down so the cost was wrong. The rooms were a little small and in need of some TLC, but I know the owners are working on it at the moment. Just keep up the good work guys it won't be long until everything is spot on.we had two rooms, the sea view room was very very nice, but the other room, was not quite clean enough. rooms basic. family room was a little small and the toilet door did not close or have a lock on it. lots of stairs which would be difficult if you were elderly. Rooms very small, no seaview. tiny family room, really a good sized single, not for a double and single bed, not enough room. Hotel advertised as refurbished? It had a lick of paint and the bar and dining possibly refurbished, but ensuite at least 20 years old and beds past their sell by date. the size of the room and the fact that it said it had been refurbished for 2008 and our roon was like going back to the 1950's. i was not very nicely decorated at all (not like the pictures on this site) and there was hardly any room. fine if you were there for 1 night like we were but could not stay in that room any longer. The throw on the bed was really old and has stains on it.the room was tiny and dated. The rooms are to small. I had to leave after one night as there was far to much noise,being woken up at 3.30am.

Breakfast is comprised of a full, cooked English-style breakfast, with toast, tea/coffee, and a selection of jams, fruit juices and cereals. Vegetarian options are available at no extra cost (please inform the waiting on staff prior to being served).

Bar Meals are available all day until 22:00, and act as a substitute for an evening meal. There is a selection of hot meals available, served either in the dining room or in the bar. Also, there is a selection of lighter bites and sandwiches. Please inform staff of any allergies you might have, as some of our foods may contain nuts etc.

Important information to guests

Please note that this property cannot accommodate hen and stag parties or single-sex groups of 2 or more guests. Any damage, either intentional or unintentional, unless reported to the hotel management immediately, will be charged in full to the card used to make the booking. Unfortunately, single rooms are restricted to midweek reservations only, due to that all singles are actually small double rooms and are let in advance as double rooms at weekends. A full menu is available at the bar 12 hours a day, no food or alcoholic drinks bought outside the hotel are allowed on the premises. Guest not included on the booking form are not permitted in the rooms. You will be asked to leave if unauthorised guests are brought to the rooms. Please note that the parking in limited and operates on a first-come-first-served basis.

We are located on the South Promenade; an excellent position for your holiday. We are situated almost central to the Pleasure Beach and the Tower, and all amenities are adjacent to the hotel, including cafes, bars, shops etc. We are set right on the sea front, with completely unobstructed views.
