Coastal Café bar serves traditional bar snacks. more info on grand metropole map After seeing so many bad reviews about this hotel, I would like to say that a group of 12 of us stayed at this hotel this weekend from the 23rd to the 26th october 2009. For a 2 star hotel this hotel offers excellent value for money, the rooms were very clean, the maids were always happy and cheerful and cleaned the room and changed towels every day. We were upgraded to a larger room because the hotel was quiet and the hotel itself was spotlessley clean. The hotel was fresh and smelt lovely throughout. The breakfast was lovely and a good size and again the dining area could not be faulted. The owner spoke to us about our day and was very very polite. We have just returned from a night here and couldnt fault it. The room was clean and spacious for a standard room, the food was lovely - we had breakfast and evning meal included and top marks for both. Service was fine, the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We also made use of the leisure facilities which again were fine. We stayed from friday and left monday. There are 6 parking bays and we arrived early to get one, if your in the front 3 bays your not getting out till you leave, which was fine for us as we didnt want to use the car but if you do leaving it there would not be a great idea.
