  I booked the "small room" which was offered at a very reasonable rate and was delighted with the room, whilst it was smaller than the normal rooms due to a very good design it still felt spacious and luxurious. The gym which Berns guests can use at the grand hotel was also excellent and a real treat to use.   nice hotel for a short stay. traveled with two friends and booked quadruple room for two nights. hotel is right in the center, we walked about 10 min from the station. we arrived late so it was very convenient with the code. the room was clean, with a kettle, fridge and microwave, all was well functioning. the bathroom is small, but manageable, so... what people say » ap and toilet paper were on place, as well as clean towels and bed linen, hangers, tea, coffee and cups. it's good place if you just need to sleep and - This was a fantastic hotel room. By European standards the room was large with a separate shower stall that wasn't over the toilet. The television has a large screen with English channels. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Stockholm central station. Great value. I booked several months in advance and got a great rate. When I did have a question, I picked up the phone in the lobby and spoke with very nice staff who fixed my issue.

The price is rather high - The hotel's location is perfect in the middle of everything with a fantastic view on the Royal Palace. The staff is very friendly - beyond even what one would expect in a hotel of that class. Tip: Instead of the buffet breakfast (and if you don't have the breakfast included in your package) eat a la carte in the bar with the view on the Palace - breath-taking!
