Malmo Hotels

I've recently been to Malmo and had the oportunity to stay at Astoria Hotell. I must say that the room was rather small but fot my trip purposes (i.e. a place to sleep) it was worth the money. Room was very clean and one big plus from my point of view is that in my room there was a little plant which I must say made me feel like home, it didn't give me the impression that I was staying in a hotel at all. We stayed for a week, during the Malmo Music Festival, and were very impressed. This is a really charming hotel. The building is several hundred years old, and it still retains many original features. The breakfast room in particular in the basement is wonderful. High ceilings everywhere, including the bedrooms. We had a large room to cater for the four of us, facing onto the courtyard. It was nicely decorated with many paintings and the like. StayAt was really nice surprise. The minus point is that it is a bit further from the railwaystation / airport bus terminal but close to the main shopping street. The place itself is brand new, trendy and very cosy. Rooms are really huge ones with kitchen equipment. The room is more of an apartment than a normal hotel room. Buffet breakfast was included in the price. It was pretty good even though fruit were a bit frozen. Perhaps I just had bad luck? I would definitely recommend to check Sta - Francesca

If you are in need of short or long term stay with a twist, this is your place. It is a clean and very unique chocolate factory that is turned into a hotel/apartment. It is in a mulicultural area and has many restaurants 200 from the front door. Just turn left out of the hotel and you are there. Rooms are huge and very tastefully done. Simple with adequate tv stations, super GROH bath showers and fixtures. Breakfast was standard. Nothing special, but something you might have at home. The city - Malcolm

We spent two nights here and found it to be an excellent hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and very well appointed. We were on the 16th floor and had a lovely view towards the bridge. Dining room was very nice with numerous choices and waitress service for tea and coffee. The hotel is in a very good location and just a 15 minute walk from the railway station. Malmo is a lovely city and if I return I will certainly be staying at the Hilton again. - Ross

I was coming from Copenhagen to Malmo just for an overnight stay before I went to Stockholm. There were a few sights I wanted to see and I figured I could stay here a few hours before I took the train to Stockholm. The hotel is simple to find if you take the train over to the main station. I came out the side entrance or exit and it was really just across the street/bridge. Checked in no problem. Nice friendly front desk. Went to my room #604 which is a half floor in between 1&2. This hotel isn't cheap, but then what is in Sweden? It is centrally located on the corner of Malmo's main square and is within easy walking distance of the railway station. I had booked this trip and travelled with a work colleague for a 2 night stay. During check in, she was upgraded to a suite as they were out of standard rooms. When I pointed out that the booking was in my name and booked on my card (jokingly, I hasten to add!), they were happy to upgrade me too - although they had no more - Martin

A wonderful experience! Perfect location nearby the central station (with direct train to the Kastrup airport) and only a few minutes walk to the shopping area. Decoration and quality of the furniture extremely design-minded! Breakfast buffet was a feast for the eyes with a large sortiment. As to the beds – I never slept better! Can strongly recommend this jewel! - Ian

Hotel Plaza is a nice hotel in the centre of the town of Malmo. It is in a walking distance from central station and Lila Torg. The room decoration needs improvement, but the hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is rich and delicious. The reception staff is helpful and kind. Moreover the hotel is value for money in a such expensive country as Sweden. - Adam

We stayed for three nights in this hotel and were very pleased. Hotel is centrally located and transportation can be reached in less then 10 minutes walking. Our room was spacious and clean,and bed was so somfortable! Breakfast was good with lots of things to choose from. The reception staff were helpful and friendly - Jane

The Scandic Kramer is a terrific hotel on all counts. It's perfectly located, on the central square in the middle of the old city, and a couple of hundred feet from the central station. It is a beautiful old building, with a grand lobby (and a grand staircase, though there is of course a lift). We loved the rooms (stayed two nights, at the beginning of a Swedish driving tour and at the end). We stayed in the part of the hotel that was redone sometime in the 20's or 30's, and has lots of wonde - Ruth

It was my second stay at Elite Hotel Residens and also this time there was nothing to complain about. The front staff is very friendly and helpful, fluent in many languages. I'm often on business in Scandinavia, and sadly this is not always the case. I chose Elite Residens because it is very well connected to Copenhagen Airport Kastrup. The train ride to the airport is about 20 minutes, Malmö Central Station can be reached in 5 minutes from the hotel. If you get a room towards Adelgatan - Coral
