Location was fantastic. Right off the ramblas, but quiet at night as away from gothic quarter. Great room at front of hotel with balcony.

Close to Las Rambla, easy to get to public transportation, buffet breakfast was a good value for the 9 euro price. Staff very helpful when my wallet was pick pocketed on the street near the hotel, a big problem in Barcelona.

Room Safe costs 2.5Euro/day!!!!, only one english TV channel, Scary nighbourhood at night, Had hard time finiding the hotel because of it's small Sign!,

Despite very lively and sometimes also a bit dodgy neighborhood the hotel was clean, calm and street was silent with only small traffic. Silent and peacefull If we consider it was only about two blocks away from La Rambla. Shower pressure was excellent.

Hotel WiFi could be raeched only in lobby but not in the room. But there we reached WiFi from hotel on next side of the street. Strange but true.

Hotel was very central to all amenities, just minutes walk away from the Rambla. The staff were very pleasant and the room was more than you would expect for a 2 star

The location, close to La Rambla and the metro as well as most tourist sights made The Hotel Principal ideal for my short trip. The room was clean, not too small. They were able to accomodate my request for a room with a balcony. It was a nice room. An added plus was having free internet access with the 3 computors in the lobby.
