  This was a perfect base for exploring Krakow. It is in an excellent location. Our room was clean and cheerful. Everything appeared newly refurbished. The common areas for eating and relaxing provided a place for interacting with other travelers from all around the globe. The staff was helpful and friendly. And, contrary to info in previous re... what people say » views, the towels were great! - First you have to understand that this is a "hostel", not a regular hotel. Thus you make your own bed and the room is not cleaned daily. The staff were extremely good and helpful. It was useful to be able to make a hot drink in the shared kitchen area. Located very close to the centre of town.

  The hostel itself is very quite and clean. The stuff is extremely nice, easy going, give you a feeling like being home and at the same time are very professional! The hostel's location is great as well, as it is just around the corner from the main train station (which you however do not hear) and just 10 min away from the old town. I booked for room with shared bathroom , the bathroom just next to my room and only 2 guest room shared with 1 bathroom so I never have to wait for that.   Located in a quiet peaceful area, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the many beautiful sites in Krakow. Takes about 15 mins to get to centre city by tram or bus and transport is pretty cheap. I've travelled most of Europe and must say this was the best value for money I have found! I would and probably will stay there again. - I find this a quiet spot good for a sense of real neighborhood life, on the way to Wieliezcka Salt Mine attraction, The host family is kind and helpful. WiFi is good, bedding fresh, and a feeling of privacy in a big home. Having a little kitchen in the room is convenient. I like the big bathtubs in the shared bathrooms. An excellent value. I will stay again.

  Great location, cheap and cheerful as you would expect. It seemed a bit like the family owned the top-floor and have modified half of their property into a little hostel. A hint if you can't get into the hostel or nobody is in reception; the family seem to live just across the landing. - Hostel is within an easy walk of Old Town.   Very friendly and helpful staff. Shared bathrooms were quite clean. Great value for money and good location only 5-10 minute walk to the night market and there are restaurants and a super market just around the corner.   (+) The location of the hostel was excellent - 5 min walk to Wawel castle and the Old Town, 15 min walk to the Main Square. There is a closed parking on the spot, free of charge. Common areas were clean and well maintained, including the kitchen with a microwave and a fridge you can use. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom and even ... what people say » extended our stay for one night. The hostel doesn't have a POS terminal, but you can pay after you exchange the money. I think you can also pay in eur - Very warm room with comfortable bed and powerful en-suite shower. Breakfast was cornlakes, cheese, ghurkins, toast, coffee. Loads of leaflets advising where to eat, drink and what to see. Very friendly. Excellent for the price if on a budget. Only 5min walk to town. The 292 bus from the airport stops at "Crakovia Hotel", which is just 5-10 min walk to hostel (pick up city street map at tourist info kiosk at the airport, which is right next to cash point machine).   We booked the apartment on the 1st floor. It was larger than we expected and definitely worth what we paid for it. Hostel was quiet, which I count as a plus. It is near Ul. Karmelicka which had plenty of shops to keep our fridge stocked and a 10 minute walk from the Stare Miasto. Host was friendly and helpful. We only visited the common room once ... what people say » on the last day but it looked welcoming. - We arrived into Krakow on a very late flight and didn't reach the hostel until 1 am. We had to wake the proprietor to check in, for which we felt very badly. However, he was very gracious and professional, and did not show the slightest touch of irritation at the situation. Our apartment was very clean and faced onto a quiet courtyard. We had a good night's sleep.
