Zakopane Hotels

I arrived at this hotel with a little apprehension, having expected few or no English speakers or English menus. I was wrong on both accounts. I loved this hotel and the view of the Tatra mountains from our room. The room was normal size and had free wired internet and mini bar which wasn't too expensive. Book a room with mountain view if you can. There were three very efficient lifts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Large lobby and dining area. A very adequate though quiet bar. Villa Toscana is located about 8 miles from Zacopane with gorgeous views of the Tatra mountains. Your GPS can find it easily. Even without GPS, the Villa is not hard to find. The Villa is located in a residential/farming area among hay fields, farms and newish homes. Parking at the Villa is free. Our room (The Pink room) was spaceous, very pretty and comfortable. Our apartment was very nice and new. It was very big: a separate bedroom, a large living-room, a complete kitchen, a nice bathroom with a new shower and a balcony overlooking the mountains. We tried the sauna and the jacusi: everything was new and we were alone. To go in the center of Zakopane, you take a little path and you walk 10 minutes. There is a lot of souvenir shops, stores and restaurants. The best way to go to Zakopane is to take a bus from Krakow, it takes about one hour. - Don

I can only reinforce the other views expressed here about the quality of this hotel. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the town centre and a couple of minutes from the train and bus stations. The staff were very attentive and the reception staff always stood up when you entered the hotel; unlike so many hotels where they just sit behind a desk. We stayed here for the first time in february this year and it was a lovely stay.We had lovely rooms over the park and the view was great of the Tatry mountains.The hotel staff went out there way to help us when one of our party broke their ankle,they helpted to arrange taxis,hospital,and spoke english and told us what we needed to now even moved us to a low floor to help.The staff were brilliant im returning to them again next year i would recommend this hotel.The rooms are a little drab but yo - Maria

Hotel Litwor is situated mid way on the main pedestrianised main street of the small town of Zakopane which can get busy at some times of the day.The hotel and staff are first class and food out of this world especially breakfast [Buffet].Some bedrooms overlook the Tatra mountains and others a park. The air is filled with wood smoke from local fires and the smell of smoked cheese a local delicasy. The hotel has a lovely indoor pool and also sauna , steam room and jacuzzi. Very good hotel. The front desk girls are very receptive! Better than Kyriad. It has a very good restaurant and free wireless internet! Try the pasta with carbonara! At the Kyriad the internet is not free (from Orange) and the restaurant is good but with few options. The bad thing is that I couldn´t find any site to book online, but it is ok!
