Pomeranian Hotels

After thorough research we found out it was not possible to get a really good hotel for 60 euros like in Warsaw. In Gdansk you need to add another 25 euros, and we finally went with the brand new Qubus Hotel (opened in June 2009). The location was not 100% perfect even if it was beautiful next to the river, but the 7 minute walk to the historical center was acceptable and the area felt safe. The dinner at the restaurant was not the best. But otherwise: Absolutely no complaints. Modern, stylish, - Ian

Having read the other reviews, I was quite impressed with this hotel. By Eastern European standards, it was very good service. Location was fantastic and the room was adequate and very comfortable. Staff were all very nice and breakfast was fine. Would stay there again for location alone. - Susan

We were a group of 3 couples staying here in July, and we all loved it. Excellent helpful staff ( who speaks English which was very helpful especially when they called taxi for us and the taxi driver did not speak English..). Very good breakfast buffet, and they did not take it away if some were late for breakfast.. They even served scrambled eggs if you were half an hour past breakfast time. Stayed at this small hotel for 4 nights and received wonderful, friendly hospitality. The location is excellent - only a few minutes walk along the street, over the bridge and you're right in the thick of the town centre but because it's on a back street overlooking some wasteland, it's nice and quiet at night so no problem with street or traffic noise. Room was 1st class - spacious, clean, modern and well equipped with tasteful decor. No air con but a small desk fan served the purpose of kee - William

What can I say more than already hasn´t been said on the reviews of this hotel before. Everything is true. The staff is wonderful, the breakfast superb (I ate so much that I easily skipped the lunch), the dinner absolutely fabulous. The room was very clean. The location was in the woods around 9 km from the city centre but the taxi costs only about 10 euros so it´s not a big problem. You can easily walk to the Oliwa cathedral and the zoo from the hotel. Decent sized, clean, modern rooms. Lovely and warm in the cold Polish night. Very helpful, freindly staff who spoke good english. My wife especially liked being able to eat cake for breakfast! Brilliant hotel and great value for money - Andy

I'm a Sheraton Platinum memeber and stay at many of their hotels. Definitely rates 5 stars. New hotel, probably a year or so old. Near the beach and pier. Service was incredible. This is one of the best. Exellent location for walking downtown or out on the pier. - Debra

I booked the Pica Paca hotel because the location was close to where we had to be for our business. This is a perfect place with personal service as you always wanted it. Clean, modern and well equipped rooms, good beds, a nice bowl with apples and mineral water for free. A good stocked mini bar, iron & board, flat screen and plenty of International TV channels. Good shower rooms with excellent rain showers. A very nice breakfast area where a friendly girl is serving you a freshly fried egg - Dany

Excellent Hotel - Paul

Hotel was recommend by a former resident of Gdansk. Room was clean and buffet breakfast very good. Would recommend when traveling in any part of Europe to have breakfast included in room price, unless reviews incicate it is not worth while. Hotel was an easy walk to old town. Front desk English skills very good and they were helpful with tourist information as well as arranging Taxis to local sights and to the airport. Be aware that Taxis can be a problem.
