Western Pomeranian Hotels

We have just returned from this lovely hotel,after spending 4 days in szczecin. the view over the river is amazing as is the surrounding area of tree lined roads etc. There are many bars as we eventually found on the last day right behind the castle in an area called the old town,but look for it by passing the old hotel Ankora,now a ruin. The views from Cafe 22 are the best way to see the whole of the city in one go .This is situated right next to a new shopping centre called THE GALAXY. Good fo - Alan

You need a reason to go to Szczecin, but once there you find an interesting German-Polish city whose strategic location as a Baltic port has assured its survival of Hitler and Stalin as well as Allied fire bombs. As for the Campanile: it has large firm beds and an abundant breakfast with good strong coffee. It is centrally located a block from the river; it is affordable and very quiet. The staff is comfortably multilingual. Chain hotels are seldom romantic. Let it be said of the Campanile that - Harry

The hotel has an excellent location close to the charming old town of Side with an own small beach perfect for a morning swim. From this beach you can see big seaturtles swimming only about 50 meters from the shore. The buffet-breakfast was perfect where you could choose between boiled and fried egg. They even had wholemeal bread, which is not common in countries around the Mediterranean. We joined a turkish and a barbeque night at the hotel. The Radisson in Szczecin is perfectly situated in the centre of the city. the Galaxy Centrum shopping centre (mall) is a 30 second walk from the Hotel and offers all the shopping the retail addict needs! The Hotel is well appointed, the staff are excellent and all speak English as well as German. The Hotel is clean and the rooms were again clean and comfortable, a nice place to stay! My only complaint being that people smoke just about everywhere, which was a common thing every where in Szczecin - Andrew

I previously attempted a stay at the SAS Radisson, which completely blew up in my face (read that review shortly) and since that unsuccessful experience it has only been Novotel Szczecin all the way. This is a very well-located hotel (for my requirements) with solid amenities. AGain, I cannot say that Novotel has the BEST decoration nor the FINEST or LATEST gym equipment or most LUXURIOUS breakfast. No - but I have become a huge fan of this chain throughout Poland as I have been consistantly - Naomi

We recently had a wonderful one-week stay at the Royal Park Hotel in one of the "executive floor" rooms. The extra cost for the executive floor was absolutely worth it. The breakfasts were great, and the evening cocktail hour was a treat. The best part of our experience was the absolutely wonderful staff, who went out of their way many times for us. The room was very nice - and while not large was comfortable, even for a one-week stay. The hotel is a bit out of the way - but in - Mark

My wife warned me that Szczecin is not a great town for a tourist visit and she was right. I did want to look around this area and we enoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was large & comfortable and the great surprise was the Italian restaurant! We stayed for 4 nights and had dinner here every night. I've had a lot of meals in Poland over the past few years & this place was the best by far! Just take the waiter's advice, especially if they have the beef sirloin special and you won't b - Charles
