We stayed for two nights in a week-end, and got a fairly large double room with extra beds facing the quiet back-yard. The staff was very service-minded and smiling. We had also booked a room for my parents-in-law who needed a room for disabled. There had obviously been a mistake in the registration, because they got a rather small and difficult room. However, when we complained about the room, the staff was very professional, and immediately found a new, very large and nice room at the top floo - Samantha

We wanna recommend this excellent apartment hotel to the fullest. We had first a standard double, and then we extended our stay with 3 more nights in a doubleroom with separate bedroom for just 200 NOK more =) We checked in late at night via their keysafe system, and found the apartment warm (heated stonefloors) clean and comfy, and we could cook our own food and also wash and dry our clothes in this well equipped apartment. It is located just behind the Royal castle in central Oslo, and 5 - Frances

My wife and I stayed here while she was attending a conference this year. The reception was great and our check-in was really fast and efficient. The room, with a double bed, was good, but not spectacular - although we had a great view of the Opera House and surrounding area. Our room was a bit dated, but given the hotel was used to house athletes during the 1952 Olympics it was nice enough. The location is really close to the Oslo S station which makes getting to and from the airport a b - Sandeep

Loved this hotel - it was clean, sleek and comfortable. Had a superior room which was the same price as a standard room when we booked. It was like a little apartment with own modern kitchen including dishwasher (not that we used it). Good hearty choice at breakfast and nice relaxed check out times. Would definetly look to stay in a Thon hotel again, shame they are only in a few countries. Oslo very expensive for food, although others warned me it would be - I didn't think it would be this expe - Sarojini
