My wife and I really enjoyed this place, which was less than a year old when we were there. As the name implies, it was comfortable. We liked the wide selection of breakfast items, which made up a bit for the crazy prices in Norway. Lights would brighten and dim in the halls according to traffic, plus change hues. I spent three days here on a businesstrip. The hotel is old and needs a facelift. Rooms are spacious, desperately needing a refurbishment but the bed was super. Bathroom was clean and good. It was quiet no problem to sleep. The breakfast (included in the roomprice) was not enough but ok (a couple of sandwiches together with a juicebox and a fruit delivered on the door) Free newspaper delivered with the breakfast was great. This hotel is right in the middle of Trondheim making it the perfect choice if you are looking to walk around Trondheim. The rooms were very clean and very modern. My room was not very big, but it was enough for me (i reserved a room for one person). The room appeared to be recently refurbished in a Nordic style. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was of a good size. The shower had great pressure and hot water. Best of all, everything was clean. The hotel had a large buffe - Jayne

We had ordered a family room, but when we arrived they were fully booked so they offered us two rooms (conected) instead. Rooms were quite spacious and the bathrooms spotless. The second night the hotel got a problem with the a/c. One of our rooms got a big problem with a lot of water from the a/c. When complaining we were told the hotel was full so there was no possibility to change rooms but they offered free car parking for our stay. Our son enjoyed the swimmingpool facilities. As soneone who lives in Trondheim, I of course have never stayed a night in any of the hotels here before. However, the beautiful facade of the Britannia is one of the nicest sights in the centre (especially around christmas, with the decorations). Also, it is an old, established hotel which -as far as I know- doesn't belong to a chain of hotels. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel at the start of July. We got the flybussen from the airport costing 180NK for 2 adults, and it left you off very close to the hotel. You simply had to walk through the concert hall and you were right outside the hotel. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, quite big and very comfortable. The hotel gives breakfast (which had a huge selection - cereal, selection of cold meat, fish, cheese, hot food, fresh bread etc ) as well as - Andrew

We were given a room facing the shopping center but did not feel depressed as the mall is made of glass walls so we could see on the outside and also the cold wind couldn.t get in the room- we were sleeping with open window. The room was large and clean, with modern but elegant classy furniture, had a luxurious feeling. In our 5 days stay room service seemed that did not change linen, did not wash the bathroom, only changed toilet paper and towels that were dissappointly old, worn and of poor q - Howell
