  The privacy, cleanliness, Scenery was lovely and central to everything. Loads of parking so we left the car there and walked around. The man at reception was very pleasent and friendly. - The proximity to the shore/shops/ferry/Waitangi museum/eateries etc. but far enough away from main traffic noise.

  We found the Ash Grove cabin we had to be the best accommodation we had on our visit to the Northern part of the North Island. Everything was absolutely perfect, which we failed to get at many other of the locations we visited. Owners/managers? very friendly and helpful; have nothing but praise for the establishment, we wish we could have staye... what people say » d longer. - Welcomed with fresh muffins from really nice hosts. Our cottage was right next door to hosts house yet it was private, clean and had every thing we needed to make our stay comfortable. Great place for our break away weekend. Easy access to a variety of attractions, Paihia,Kerikeri etc.

  The owners were very helpful in all respects, when I advised them that we would not be arriving till early Saturday morning this was not a problem as we were coming from the King Country. They were very helpful with any question that we had & very easy to approach.   We liked everything about Bay Sands - the Manager was the most helpful, informative,friendly person we came across in our whole NZ holiday... Nothing too much trouble and we ate at some amazing places thanks to his suggestions......And if this wasn't enough he even offered to allow us to leave our car at the motel whilst we went on an overnight cr... what people say » uise as it was far safer at the Motel than anywhere else. Our room had a beach view, was spotlessly clean and well fitted out with kitchenette etc - v - Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. Room was clean and comfortable and facilities were very good. We had a ground floor sea view, which wasn't strictly a sea view as most of the time, cars were parked directly across from the room as there was parking for the beach. The beach was literally across the street, though so it was still a good spot. Restaurants, the wharf and the centre is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation, so pretty good location.

  Good Location if you have a car, a bit far to walk to the town centre but was fantastic having a pool and trampoline for our son to play on and the spa was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we would love to stay again but we would stay on the bottom floor as you have easy access to the pool and the car park.   The motel was in walking distance to the little town and to the docks. The main reason for being in Paihia was to scuba dive. The motel was an excellent location in walking distance to Paihia Dive. It was clean, the staff was wonderfully friendly, very very nice.
