  I was expecting the worst when I saw the noisy street and the dark ground floor, but when he to us up to our room I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was the cleanest budget hotel we saw in 2 weeks, the bathroom was fairly clean, though as usual could be better, the room had a heater which was a huge perk since we were there in January (turn... what people say » s out we didn't need it as the room was amazingly warm enough), the bed was really comfortable... I could go on. I think this place was the best value - I was pleased to be picked up by a family member from the airport ( Private taxi 700 rupees) as the guest house is very much in the centre of the maze of alleys in Varanasi which initially did seem daunting. After a walk around it quickly became less of a problem to find your bearings. Use the river as a point of reference.   There are so many things to share but to start there is only one word for this place and it is just awesome. We were on a short trip of three days to Agra. I booked one room for two nights. Harishankar & Kamal - This is a basic budget hotel. Having said that, it's very reasonably priced and the owner and his staff go out of their way to be as helpful as possible. I ate there several times and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable with no shortage of hot water.   I really liked the environment in the hotel. At first I was worried and had some worry about security of my two young daughters. But later i realized it was a safe place for a family stay. The food was really good staffs were friendly - close to agra fort railway station,taj mahal and agra fort.etmaddaulla big room and good food. value for money.
