  When we arrived from the airport at the bus depot despite it being 1amthe very personable owner of Apartment k picked us up. The apartment wasright downtown but with a view of ocean and mountains, well furnishedand outfitted with large flat screen tv, wlan and MacMini with largecollection of movies. Excellent communication and support from the owners, who were very helpful and welcoming. They now have a number of apartments in downtown Reykjavik, so be sure to ask them for the exact address of the one you'll be staying in, if you need to arrange taxis etc.

  All of the reception personnel were extremely gracious and helpful. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. They answered questions, confirmed tours, made phone calls to check on things in other towns, made great suggestions about places to eat and buy things, and gave directions to get around.   The staff was superb! The desk personnel were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the sites to visit, excursions to take and places to eat. The cleaning staff was diligent in getting your room clean and tidy yet left personal items as you left them. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant. I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed
