We absolutely loved Hotel Galini! First of all the location is perfect - it's in Firostefani, which is 10 minutes walk from Fira. From the hotel to Fira, there's a nice walking path just by the caldera with an amazing view! Staying in Firostefani, you're super close to Fira if you want to go out; but at the same time you're out of all tourist hustle. Rooms are clean and super comfortable, in every corner there's a nice detail in the decoration which makes you smile :) Breakfasts are really nic.
all reviews » The hotel is very well located in Firostefani, next to a small square which is the pick up point for taxis and tour buses (very important here as from some other hotels you have to climb up with your luggage). Very clean, all white (Santorini style). And the view - the famous caldera view is outstanding. Very easy communication with the owners and staff, perfect English is spoken here. E-mail correspondence with the owners before arrival was also very successful. Very reliable. The little on- s. We really loved this hotel, so much so that we changed our plans and stayed another day, which the staff was great about and even moved our stuff for us since we had to change rooms. The rooms are bright, breezy, and have amazing views. Breakfast is cute and quaint on the rooftop. Everything smells amazing and clean. The location is perfect- close enough to Fira to be near everything and there is a bus stop right by the hotel for Oia. And best of all, the staff helped us book an atv and a wond. Friendly, knowledgable and helpful staff, bottled water, simple breakfast with breathtaking views, lovely location with 15 minutes walk into Fira. Hotel was spotless, even the balcony walls were washed every day. Would recommend this hotel. Good stuff.and good location. You can call them a head of time to arrange a transport pick up from the port (but not free). Room very small, no table/chair/armchair. I had my own balcony with a table and chairs but to access it you need to go out of the room. Very limited breakfast included in the room price: bread, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham, coffee or tea. Normally with this room price you can expect more but on the other hand this is Santorini and nothing is cheap there. Internet connection only worked in reception. Bed and pillows a little hard. Our room didn't have an external window Only chairs to sit in, some sun loungers would be great.
