  A lovely little hotel on a quiet and safe street just minutes away from the metro and great Parisian cafes and bars that aren't overflowing with tourists. The staff were very attentive and polite and always keen to help. They also spoke english which was a big bonus! I found our room to be very comfy and clean.   Got a taxi from Gare du Nord for just under Euro 20. Hotel has two steps up to reception and an elevator. We chose this hotel as it was close to Montpanasse RER which we needed the following morning. Other hotels are closer but this hotel was better value for money. Our room was on Floor 5 and while the carpet looked a bit tired, the bathroom ... what people say » had been done up nicely and our bed was comfortable, Front desk staff were excellent as was email contact with them. We had tea and coffee facilitie - Loved the location. It's in an area where there are a lot going on but there aren't many tourists and we felt totally safe. Unlike certain neighborhoods in district 2, 9, and 11 where we don't feel safe. The neighborhood is very diverse and has a very "authentic" vibe because there aren't too many tourists that venture out there. The second-hand market two blocks from the hotel on Sundays was so much fun! Hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. Bathroom is updated and new. Staff was overall
