Vancouver Hotels

Well located downtown. Very good free breakfast. We were able to print our boarding passes with the computer located in the lobby, fireplace in the lobby, clean hotel, the cleaning ladies are doing a great job, flat screen TV. Room was a bit small and there was no fridge in our room. - Edward

I booked this hotel for two nights and would have stayed for my whole week of visit had I known what a gem it is but I was committed to stay elsewhere! From the outside we originally did not have high expectations but were very happy when we saw our room. We had a room with 2 queen beds, a fridge and microwave and nice furnishings. Someone else has mentioned that there wasn't much room and we certainly did not find that! We had a good size entry and closet with 2 luggage holders, comfortable fur - John

Spent 2 weeks in this hotel staying in Vancouver for the first time while we explored the town. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the two queen sized beds were comfortable. The crockery, cutlery etc. supplied with the kitchen was new and clean - so often in hotels with kitchen facilities these utensils look as though they've been gathered over many years and are a real mish-mash and look a bit dubious. All I can say is: great staff: From the houseman who willingly set up the little one's playpen to the chef who was willing to go the extra mile in chopping up our little girl's pancakes over breakfast, the staff here made the stay excellent. The guest services/valet guy at the front, someone from the UK I think, was really striving to go out of his way in packing the car up or helping us out and in all, the front line staff made this a real treat. Good & helpful welcomes from this 500+ room hotel next to convention centre. Good location as wonderful views if high enough, but a little out of downtown for walking/shopping. Room excellent. Buffet breakfast included in rate excellent. Nice lunch in lounge overlooking harbour, but not cheap! National car rental in foyer/garage! Against: NO free Wi-FI (remarkable for a business hotel! Parking very expensive $30+ overnight - John

The hotel is just outside the popular hotel belt but convenient to a Skytrain station. All the rooms are spacious with a separate sitting room and with a kitchenette and bathroom . There is a large construction site across the hotel but did not disturb us at floor 13. We enjoyed our stay. - Neil

I am a veteran of many...too many.."solo travels"...around the world...every continent except Antarctica...including stays in "classy" hotels in Vancouver.....and I can honestly say...after my week's stay..that I have never encountered any hotel offering more than the Sunset.. Location: In the downtown center of a large metropolis...within short walking distance of principal shopping, business, dining, and entertainment areas and cultural attractions...YET...located on a - Jonathan
