Robson Suites is located in the middle of everywhere in Vancouver. I have never visited the city before and I could not have wished for a better location. I loved that Robson Suites offered a kitchen so I could be independent. There are loads of restaurants, supermarkets and a liquor store just across the street. Steps away from Stanley Park. Steps away from the harbour. The location was superb. But even more than the location was the helpfulness of the staff..it feels very family at Robson Sui.
all reviews » In room laundry facilities was a God-send, after spending weeks in coin-op laundries. Location is fantastic - there is an excellent Chinese restaurant on the same block (Dynasty) and an excellent coffee roaster almost directly opposite. 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of bustling Robson St. Complimentary parking is something rarely offered in Vancouver and this place had it. Large selection of bicycle hire companies 100m away to allow you to take in the vast dedicated bicycle paths around . Great for a city stay. Staff at reception were really friendly and helpful. The suite we were allocated was neat, clean and comfortable, nice to have a kitchen, bathroom a bit on the small side. As we were at the end of our holiday it was great to be able to get all our clothes washed and dried and also to have a couple of home cooked meals for a change ! Location good for exploring the city, bus/trams, eateries close by. Parking (free) at the property a boon in a busy city. An excellent location in west Vancouver. The No 5 bus to Downtown leaves every 10 minutes from across the road and good shopping close by. Excellent Safeway if you are self catering, which you would probably be doing if you booked the suite as it has an excellent kitchen. Security is second to none with secure parking below the building. If you are contemplating a city break this would be an excellent choice. The location of Robson Suites is perfect , just minutes from Stanley Park and the sea wall. So many great restaurants close by and lots of shopping for those who like to do that. Walk to the Art Gallery, B.C. Place Stadium and many other venues. But most of all we enjoyed the staff - so friendly, helpful and accommodating!!!! The suites are spacious and very clean. A great find in a great location!. Almost everything! The suite was very well equipped with almost every appliance you could wish for. We had a one bedroom suite and we liked having the separate living area. We used the washer/dryer and a new supply of washing powder was left each day- very good service. Met with a beaming smile by all the staff we met but it was non intrusive. Always helpful if we had a query. Would definitely return. Location is as described (but like much of Vancouver there were numerous "homeless" folk residing in the area, so be wary). Staff were very courteous and allowed our local visitor to park inside the property, and to leave suitcases while we went on a four day excursion. Convenient for longer stays or families wanting to be together but not significantly cheaper than the large hotels downtown. Excellent when travelling with a baby. They provided a good quality travel cot and there were blackout blinds. The kitchen and living area were spacious and well equipped and a separate bedroom meant we could put baby to bed and still enjoy our evenings. Great location, close to Stanley park and shopping as well as supermarket. The staff were very helpful including cleaners. We liked everything. Full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer with new laundry detergent provided every day was very welcome after travelling for weeks. Free wifi and secure underground free parking was much appreciated. Location is great. It is just a few steps to two supermarkets, many restaurants and buses to Downtown. Service to room was excellent. We had a spacious well equipped suite with all facilities for self catering but if you wanted to eat out there were many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Free secure parking on site was a great bonus as parking in Vancouver is expensive. The location is ideal being a short bus ride from down town and a short walk to Stanley Park. The hotel features a perfect location. Shopping and dining are just across the street. The staff were extremely helpful. Shawn gave us a lot of great advice on what to do and where to go. Another Japanese-looking (maybe) lady was very kind as well. Would definitely stay again next time in Vancouver!. Location was fabulous -- close to many restaurants, bikes, parks and Vancouver attractions. Could walk everywhere or take public transportation. Plus, free underground parking was amazing. It's in a great location and the facilities are really good. Great value for money. So close to everything but still in an area that has a village feel about it. Pleasant walk to the CBD yet close to Stanley Park. Location on Robson Street one block from Denman Street meant a huge choice of restaurants within short walking distance. Walking distance to everything. Don't need a car if you are just exploring the city. Everything is at your finger tip. We had the best sushi and ramen in our 35 years of living!. The suite was nicely furnished, we were close to downtown , restaurants, and the harbor. The people at the reception were helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. An apartment suite gave us more features,flexibility, and space than a hotel, yet Robson Suites, still had 24 hour reception, staff assistance and daily house keeping. Spacious one bedroom apartment with everything we could think of that we needed. Lots of storage for suitcases and the washer and dryer were especially appreciated. The unit was very comfortable and well equiped making it an ideal home-away-from-home. The staff were particularly helpful and the location was most convenient. This was the perfect hotel for us. It wasn't the most spacious suite - we had to do some significant re-arrangement of furniture to allow us the room to open two large suitcases while the sofa bed was open. Nothing!!. Didn't have 24 hour reception. Asked to use a key between 11pm and 7am. Not particularly a problem but would have liked some security overnight. Would have been useful to have some instructions for air con.... Complimentary shuttle is a shared service with other properties which can not be prebooked, and was unavailable in the mornings due to commitments to cruise ship passengers. Nevertheless, the location allows easy walking or bus service (#5) to downtown. Nothing. No ceiling light in bedroom. Could be noisy in summer with windows open. It is above a 24 hours MacDonalds. If you did not want self catering then it would be expensive. No issues at all. No screens on windows and there was no way to control the heat in the bathroom. The maids (and we) had to keep the AC on the whole time, wasting both heat and AC, when neither was needed. Nothing not to like about Robson Suites. There was really nothing we did not like. The property is a little dated but well maintained. Stay less than 7 days and your room is cleaned every day. More than 7 days, room is cleaned twice a week. No king size beds available. One room had old style a/c right next to bed so you could not use as it blew straight on you. N/A. Nothing; was perfect again. Air-con unit in our room was inadequate given the large suite. Could be an issue on hot evenings in summer when opening up the windows would be unhelpful. The bedside lighting and dining table lighting werent adequate. The whole spartment was quite dark and gloomy [410] even by day. I did notice thru open doors when housekeeping were in rooms that the rooms on the other side of the building were much lighter and brighter. Noisy air conditioners in our room. Nothing. The furnishings were a bit "tired". the steps in hall way when you have a lot of bags a ramp would be better thats all. The very noisy air conditioning unit struggled to keep the suite cool. The air conditioning unit was right next to the bed, too close for comfort. It was uncomfortable having it on during a hot night. Heating a little too warm for us. We found the bedroom to be especially hot at night. We were in Vancouver in late June. A pedestal fan did help, however air-conditioning in the bedroom would be a good addition. Nothing. nothing. A king size bed would be nice. forniture a bit dated but comfortable -- charged my credit card for full 4 nights stay at least 10 days prior to check-in. Shower was a bit leaky. 1. The cooking facility need be improved. Ex the pan is not good to use. 2. The bed is not comfortable. There is some concavities on it. Sofa pullout was not comfortable, but putting the mattress on the floor did the trick.
