Beautiful rooms and resort, nice views of the Burrard Inlet/Harbour and Stanley Park, very comfortable bed and furniture. It's right on the famous Stanley Park, so there's a great walkway right along the water with amazing views/sights. The quality of the soap/shampoo in the bathroom is top-notch. The restaurant in the main lobby has an incredible breakfast buffet. Location was fabulous, on the water and within walking distance of all the cool neighborhoods in Vancouver, the port and Stanley Park. Views of the harbour were lovely, beautiful property and our room was huge and the Heavenly beds are dreamy. We paid a very affordable price that was three times cheaper than what the same room in Miami would have cost.
all reviews » Stayed in the tower section of the hotel where we experienced some great views. We were allowed to check in early which was very helpful. Conceriege service was very helpful with local attractions. Starbucks located in the hotel. Nice pool area to relax in. Loved the walking paths that surrounded the hotel!. I thought the staff were very responsive - when I asked for extra cream for my coffee and for a problem with the light in the bathroom, they were right up both times and extremely courteous and helpful. I loved the dog with the elevator repair man - so very cute. The hotel has a fabulous location and view of the Vancouver Harbour. Great access to Stanley Park. We enjoyed bike riding on the sea wall and walks around the area while visiting, and the hotel room and facilities were all top notch. The location was great for a place to stay in downtown Vancouver. Enjoyed being close to the water edge and watching the activities on the water from our room. Easy to walk to different places to eat, shopping, movies etc. I loved the view looking west. That the concierge arranged for a complimentary appetizer to be delivered to our table at the restaurant nearby where I asked the concierge to book a reservation for us. Lovely hotel. Liked everything they were very acomadation ang flexible on check-in we got there early just off a cruise ship and they had a room for us. If you have a room that's a shower/bathtub combo in the bathroom, the shower is very tight, especially for a bigger/taller man. The parking fees for both private parking or valet parking are very high. No free wifi in the rooms. Free wifi only located in reception area of hotel. Parking is expensive-nearly $40 a day at a parking garage, however, the garage is very lenient towards hotel guests if you park it there a bit longer than expected. We booked a room with 2 beds...both were only full size beds. Doesn't appear they have rooms with 2 queen beds. Better, more affordable restaurants, that were within walking distance, would have been appreciated. I think from the outside is is a particularly ugly building - the worst of 1960/70s architecture, it mars the look of Vancouver's waterfront it is so ugly. Inside it was just fine. there is nothing cheap about parking in Vancouver!. Not enough vegan choices in the one restaurant that was open. We liked everything. That we have to leave. No balconey to sit out and enjoy the fine weather and great view. Room arrangement was a little tight and the one chair/chaise was set to face the city rather than the view. My only issue was our bed mattress was covered in urine. I didn't notice this till the end of our stay. If I would have seen it sooner I would have asked for a different room. I was not happy about this. rooms fairly standard - a surprise after swanky lobby. The bed was slightly lumpy. The price! The hotel lobby was nice and the rooms were okay, but for close to $350/night, I was expecting a bit more. Plus parking was an additional $36/night. Pool area a bit out of date, should have Been shower area . Price of Breakfast expensive!. Our rooms were not the best view. We stayed in the tower on a past visit and it was much nicer. Poor initial response to my room request. I was booked in a room that had a bad view even though I paid for a view of the bay. I requested a room with a better view and they complied. Hotel needs to review and re-consider the actual view / from what they are advertizing. Leave to early. invoicing procedures. no breakfast included in price of room. The bathroom is a triumph of design over practicality as there is nowhere to hang wet towels so you have to change them everyday - hardly "eco-friendly". By installing so hooks you could alleviate this and reduce the laundry bill. We also had debris from the previous occupant in the bathroom corner for the 4 days we were there. My room had a view of a wall. The continuous arrival of cruise liner guests which meant a long queue if you wanted to speak to front desk.Also the unhelpful and unfriendly front desk.Unless you were on a cruise this hotel was not reallyinterested in the individual traveller.Often 2 coach loads of cruise liner guests would arrive a day. Internet being charged for. Cost per night. Complicated billing and invoice. even though we knew, that the Bayshore Inn was an old hotel (it was already there when we were working in Vancouver back in the Sixties. It is in urgent need for a renovation, esp. the old carpets need to be replaced, they give off an odd smell. Old old dirty facility, old building, parking charge so expensive, no wifi at room.
