This is true, but it is just a half a block west of a main shopping pedestrian walkway. If you like being in the daily hustle- bustle of the locals, this is a good spot.   It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time.   The breakfast was very fine, the only problem was the small space in the first floor, So we had to have breakfast one day in the 2nd floor wich didn't have all the options for breakfast as in the 1st floor. Jacuzzi was very spaceful - One young man spoke excellent English and was very helpful.
